The company is seeking an experienced FPGA Design Engineer to join a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment focused on both standard products and bespoke secure digital design solutions.\nThis role involves full lifecycle ownership of FPGA solutions-from requirements and architecture through implementation, verification, and production. The position covers complex FPGA designs incorporating both industry-standard and custom protocols.\nKey Responsibilities include -\nOwn the delivery of FPGA solutions from requirements through to production.\n\nLead the elicitation and interpretation of requirements for FPGA implementations.\n\nDefine FPGA architecture in collaboration with the wider development team.\n\nWork alongside Project Managers to plan and deliver against project timelines.\n\nCoordinate other FPGA engineers when required.\n\nLiaise with external FPGA and IP suppliers.\n\nDevelop test benches and perform in-system testing.\n\nContribute to proposals, estimations, and technology roadmaps when needed.\n\nEssential Skills & Experience -\nProven track record delivering FPGA designs across the full development lifecycle.\n\nStrong VHDL skills for FPGA design and verification.\n\nExperience optimising designs for performance and power efficiency.\n\nExperience debugging and integrating FPGA solutions in hardware.\n\nProficient with configuration management tools.\n\nExperience with Microchip devices and Libero for design synthesis (advantage).\n\nExperience verifying HDL using ModelSim or Questasim (UVM beneficial).\n\nDesirable Skills -\nRequirements analysis and management (e.g., DOORS).\n\nExperience with SmartFusion, PolarFire or Igloo devices.\n\nKnowledge of PCIe NVMe implementations in FPGA.\n\nExperience with Xilinx or Altera devices/toolchains.\n\nFamiliarity with 3rd-party IP integration.\n\nDesign for security principles.\n\nEmbedded firmware development (C/C++/assembler).\n\nUnderstanding of cryptographic algorithms and standards.\n\nExperience integrating FPGAs within larger hardware platforms.\n\nIf you're interested in this role, then please apply.
