This permanent, full-time position offers the opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement, lean manufacturing and operational excellence within an advanced engineering environment.\nKey Responsibilities:\nDevelop and maintain robust, cost-effective manufacturing processes, product structures and process controls.\nDrive continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, value engineering and cost reduction initiatives to improve efficiency, quality and productivity.\nLead root cause analysis investigations and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.\nApply Six Sigma tools and structured problem-solving methods to reduce variation and improve process capability.\nParticipate in design reviews, concurrent engineering and Design for Manufacture assessments to ensure product manufacturability.\nSupport New Product Introduction programmes, manufacturing readiness activities and the transition from product inception through to customer delivery.\nPrepare work breakdown structures, manufacturing cost estimates, business cases and capital investment proposals for new equipment and technologies.\nTrain and mentor production personnel while collaborating with engineering, quality, production and other stakeholders on process improvements.\nJob Requirements:\nDegree or equivalent qualification in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related discipline.\nStrong understanding of lean manufacturing techniques, including Value Stream Mapping and One-Piece Flow.\nExperience with Six Sigma tools and methodologies, including Root Cause Analysis, 8D, PFMEA, Control Charts, Pareto Analysis and Gage R&R.\nExperience using CAD, CAM and Microsoft Office applications.\nUnderstanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, tooling, welding, moulding and assembly.\nAbility to lead cross-functional improvement projects and influence stakeholders at all levels.\nKnowledge of aerospace quality standards, including AS9100 and ISO 9001, would be advantageous.\nExperience supporting NPI programmes, product testing and validation, or a Six Sigma qualification such as Green Belt or Black Belt would be beneficial.\nAdditional Knowledge:\nKnowledge of fluid dynamics, thermal systems, product reliability or electronic systems would be advantageous.
