Minor Works Project Manager / Engineer

Our client, one of the biggest local authorities in the highways sector, is seeking a Minor Works Project Manager / Engineer to support the delivery of highway improvement and maintenance projects. This contract opportunity is suited to a project manager or engineer with practical experience in minor works and an ability to coordinate projects from planning through to completion. An ASAP start is required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing the delivery of minor works projects within the highways sector
• Coordinating contractors, engineering teams and other project stakeholders
• Monitoring project progress, quality, health and safety, and compliance
• Reviewing scope, programmes, resources and project requirements
• Providing technical and project management support throughout the works
• Preparing project updates, reports and relevant documentation
• Identifying project risks and supporting effective mitigation measures

Job Requirements:

• Experience in minor works project management or highways engineering
• Strong understanding of highway construction, maintenance and improvement works
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and coordinate delivery to agreed programmes
• Knowledge of health and safety requirements within highways projects
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Good organisational, problem-solving and reporting abilities
• Availability for an ASAP start
