Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Pre-Construction Engineer (Electrical) to support the development of energy and power infrastructure schemes from initial enquiry through to project handover.\nThis hybrid role offers the opportunity to work closely with engineering, commercial and operational teams, ensuring projects are technically compliant, commercially robust and ready for successful delivery.\nKey Responsibilities\nReview client specifications, technical documentation, drawings and connection requirements for tenders and proposals.\nIdentify technical risks, scope gaps, assumptions, exclusions and compliance requirements.\nDevelop electrical scopes of work covering HV and LV systems, protection, control, earthing, containment and cabling.\nProduce compliance and deviation schedules and manage technical queries throughout the tender process.\nComplete quantity take-offs and support project cost estimates.\nWork closely with commercial teams to develop accurate and competitive tender submissions.\nPrepare subcontract packages, including testing, commissioning and quality requirements.\nDefine project interfaces, responsibilities and inspection requirements.\nReview supplier and subcontractor quotations and support technical evaluations.\nSupport project handovers by communicating key assumptions, risks and technical requirements to delivery teams.\nContribute to value engineering and alternative technical solutions where appropriate.\nRequirements\nDegree, HNC, HND or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering.\nExperience within power, utilities, renewable energy or electrical infrastructure projects.\nBackground working for an engineering contractor, utility contractor, infrastructure provider or renewable energy organisation.\nStrong understanding of HV and LV systems, electrical drawings and technical specifications.\nExperience supporting bids, tenders, proposals or pre-construction activities.\nKnowledge of BS 7671 and UK electrical industry standards.\nFamiliarity with NEC contracts.\nStrong commercial awareness and stakeholder management skills.\nExperience with estimating or quantity take-off software would be advantageous.\nChartered status or progress towards professional registration would be beneficial.\nWhat's on Offer\nHybrid working arrangement with occasional UK
