Due to continued growth and an expanding order book, they are seeking an experienced Business Development Director to drive their work-winning strategy and secure major projects nationwide.\nThis is a high-profile leadership role for an individual who can combine business development expertise with a strong understanding of pre-construction, estimating and project delivery.\nThe Role\nAs Business Development Director, you will take ownership of the complete work-winning process, leading opportunities from initial client engagement through to successful contract award and handover to delivery teams.\nKey responsibilities include:\nManaging the full cradle-to-grave work-winning cycle.\nBuilding and maintaining strategic client relationships.\nIdentifying and securing new business opportunities across civil engineering and infrastructure markets.\nLeading bid management and tender submissions.\nManaging and delivering ECI (Early Contractor Involvement) and PCSA (Pre-Construction Services Agreement) engagements.\nWorking closely with estimating, commercial and operational teams to develop winning solutions.\nEnsuring a seamless transition from pre-construction to project delivery.\nSupporting the company's long-term growth and market expansion plans.\nAbout You\nThe successful candidate will have:\nA proven track record in business development, tendering, estimating and/or project delivery within civil engineering.\nExperience managing the full bid and work-winning lifecycle.\nStrong technical knowledge of civil engineering, groundworks and infrastructure projects.\nExperience leading ECI and PCSA engagements.\nExcellent client-facing, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.\nA strong commercial mindset with the ability to identify and convert opportunities into secured work.\nExperience working within both self-delivery contractors and Tier 1 organisations would be highly advantageous.\nWhat's on Offer\nBasic salary of £150,000 -
