This contract role offers the opportunity to contribute to the assurance, safety and successful delivery of complex defence products and systems.\nKey Responsibilities\nProvide support to engineering delivery leadership in the development, delivery and maintenance of the Product Safety Management System and Product Safety Case\nDerive and manage product safety requirements\nDevelop, implement and maintain the Safety Management System\nProduce and manage Project Safety Management Plans\nLead hazard identification, risk assessment and ongoing hazard/risk management activities\nOversee the administration and management of the Project Hazard Log\nInfluence the construction and delivery of the Safety Case, including safety case reports and supporting documentation\nProvide product safety advice to engineering teams and wider stakeholders\nProduce, present and articulate clear, logical technical safety arguments\nComplete peer reviews, checking, verification and assurance tasks to demonstrate the robustness of safety deliverables\nChair hazard identification meetings and support governance reviews / working groups\nSupport realistic programme status updates and contribute to recovery planning where required\nSupport the development of training material and, where needed, deliver training to product safety and environmental domains\nJob Requirements\nSignificant experience in product safety engineering within a complex, regulated engineering environment (defence/high-integrity engineering preferred)\nStrong knowledge of hazard analysis, risk management and safety assessment methodologies\nExperience producing safety cases, safety justifications and technical reports\nAbility to interpret complex technical data and create robust, auditable safety arguments\nStrong stakeholder management and communication skills\nProficient in MS Office (Word/Excel etc.)\nSTEM degree (or equivalent);
