This contract role will focus on ensuring that manufactured components and processes meet stringent quality, engineering and regulatory standards.\nKey Responsibilities:\nCarrying out detailed inspections of components, assemblies and manufactured products\nInterpreting engineering drawings, specifications, quality standards and inspection requirements\nUsing appropriate inspection and measurement equipment to verify product conformity\nIdentifying non-conformances and supporting investigations into root causes and corrective actions\nProducing accurate inspection reports and maintaining comprehensive quality records\nWorking closely with manufacturing, engineering and supplier teams to resolve quality issues\nSupporting audits, continuous improvement activities and the consistent application of quality procedures\nPromoting a strong quality culture within a highly regulated manufacturing environment\nJob Requirements:\nSignificant experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing, engineering or defence environment\nStrong understanding of quality assurance, inspection processes and product conformity\nAbility to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications and manufacturing documentation\nExperience using precision measurement and inspection equipment\nUnderstanding of non-conformance control, root cause analysis and corrective action processes\nStrong attention to detail and a methodical approach to quality control\nExcellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams\nCommitment to working onsite and following strict health, safety, security and quality procedures\nContract Details:\n12-month contract\n37 hours per week\nNewcastle location\nFive days onsite\nInside IR35\nThis is an excellent opportunity for a Principal Quality Inspector to contribute to critical strategic manufacturing projects within the defence and security sector.
