This permanent, hands-on role offers varied exposure across LV, 11kV and wider network design, with mentoring from experienced engineers to support technical development and career progression.\nKey Responsibilities:\nProducing general arrangements, layouts, single-line diagrams, technical submittals, construction drawings and technical reports\nPreparing compliant designs in line with customer requirements, ENA, DNO and IDNO G81 standards, BS7671 and the Business Management System\nSupporting Senior Engineers with design calculations, technical documentation and value engineering\nAssisting Tendering Engineers and Project Managers with drawings, tenders and day-to-day technical challenges\nProducing accurate as-built drawings and ensuring design outputs are buildable, practical and cost-conscious\nMaintaining design standards, drawing registers and technical documentation\nEngaging with external stakeholders to clarify technical requirements and escalating design challenges promptly\nSupporting NERS accreditations, design audits, technical reviews, project financials and continuous improvement initiatives\nJob Requirements:\nHND or degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline\nExperience with LV and 11kV design principles, with an interest in developing knowledge of EHV networks\nUnderstanding of the practical application of electrical installations and private electricity networks\nKnowledge of, or exposure to, earthing design, control, protection and automation schemes would be advantageous\nFamiliarity with ENA, DNO or IDNO G81 standards and BS7671\nStrong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, project managers, engineers and site teams\nGood organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities\nSafety awareness, with EUSR, CSCS or ECS certification and First Aid at Work certification, or a willingness to obtain these\nProfessional Development:\nMentoring and technical
