Reports To: Senior Production Manager
Due to the nature of the role, BPSS clearance is required for this role and must be maintained throughout employment.
The Opportunity
We're looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead production teams within our Military business.
You'll be responsible for delivering production plans, maximising On Time Start (OTS) and On Time Finish (OTF) performance, reducing production dwell, and driving a culture of safety, quality and continuous improvement.

What You'll Be Doing
Leadership & People Management
- Lead, coach and develop production teams
- Drive employee engagement and performance
- Manage absence, training and workforce capability

Production & Operational Performance
- Deliver production plans safely, on time and to quality standards
- Maximise efficiency, productivity and resource utilisation
- Monitor performance against operational targets and budgets
- Identify and resolve production issues and risks
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the department
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all quality, environmental and safety requirements
- Promote a strong safety-first culture
- Implement preventative measures to minimise operational risks
- Maintain high housekeeping and workplace standards
Communication & Continuous Improvement
- Lead team briefings and operational review meetings
- Analyse performance data and implement improvement plans
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives
- Drive process, system and organisational improvements
What You'll Bring
Essential
- Experience in a manufacturing supervisory or management role
- Strong knowledge of production and inventory management
- Experience leading and developing teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Good IT skills, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Desirable
- Six Sigma or Continuous Improvement experience
- Experience within aerospace, defence or another regulated manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of production planning and operational performance management
- Budget and cost control experience
