This new site will become the European Centre of Excellence for aerospace manufacturing, representing a significant investment in innovation, capability, and long-term growth.\nOur client is a premier supplier of fully integrated fuel systems for both fixed-wing and rotary aircraft. The location is supported by extensive fuel and air system test facilities, enabling comprehensive validation across a broad range of operating conditions and fuel types.\nThe Role\nOur client's Aerospace division within Fuel and Motion Control Systems is seeking an experienced Lead Customer Program Manager on a contract basis.\nThe role is responsible for leading customer programmes and cross-functional delivery activities across the business. The focus is on delivering high levels of customer satisfaction, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring full lifecycle financial performance. This includes ownership of customer programs, contracts, and commercial relationships, while providing leadership across multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful programme execution.\nKey Responsibilities\nAct as the primary customer interface for assigned programmes, site, or business unit\nImprove organisational responsiveness to customer requirements\nCommunicate and manage customer expectations and contractual commitments internally\nOwn Profit and Loss responsibility for New Product Development programmes and projects\nEnsure delivery against technical, schedule, cost, and quality commitments\nLead cross-functional programme teams and champion best-practice programme management processes\nDrive issue resolution through collaborative team engagement and stakeholder management\nProvide leadership within a matrix organisation across assigned project teams\nCoordinate programme reviews and publish programme metrics and performance reports\nTrack earned value, quality, technical performance, and delivery across all programme phases\nIntegrate and manage programme risks, requirements, and interdependencies\nManage customer contracts, pricing, terms and conditions, and contractual flow-down\nDevelop and negotiate pricing and contract strategies\nEnsure robust change management processes are applied\nProvide regular programme updates on milestones, risks, and high-impact issues\nSupport the development of new business proposals and execution of overall programme plans\nQualifications\nEssential\nBachelor's degree from an accredited institution\nMinimum of 5 years' experience in Aerospace Program Management, Engineering, Customer Service, or Operations\n Preferred\nDegree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Aerospace), IT, Business, or Management\nMBA with engineering experience\n Skills and Experience\nWillingness to travel up to 25%\nStrong grounding in project management methodologies, tools, and processes\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to senior leadership and customers\nStrong analytical skills and commercial awareness\nProven knowledge of the aerospace industry\nProven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in the delivery of complex customer programmes\nExperience managing programs involving complex systems or subsystems\nExperience with moderate to high customer risk and Non-Recurring Engineering budgets\nExperience delivering incremental revenue growth programs\nAbility to operate effectively in diverse, global, and multicultural environments\nExperience influencing senior leadership and providing actionable recommendations\nExperience leading teams or managing people\nStrong background in aerospace NPI programs\nRisk management experience\nProject Management Institute accreditation (PMP) is highly desirable\n Additional Information\nCandidates must be legally authorised to work in the United Kingdom without current or future sponsorship\nThe successful applicant will be in contact with US ITAR-controlled technology, goods, and information.
