This is an excellent opportunity to work within a modern machine shop environment, supporting quality performance across manufacturing, engineering and supply chain functions.\nThe Role\nAs a Quality Engineer, you will play a key role in driving quality excellence across the business. You will be responsible for leading investigations, supporting audits, implementing corrective actions and ensuring products, processes and systems consistently meet customer, regulatory and industry requirements.\nThis is a hands-on role suited to someone with a strong machining, manufacturing or engineering background who is passionate about problem solving, continuous improvement and operational excellence.\nKey Responsibilities\nSupport day-to-day quality activities across machining and manufacturing operations\nDrive root cause investigations relating to internal non-conformances, customer complaints and supplier quality issues\nLead the implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and verify effectiveness\nConduct process audits and product audits to ensure compliance with internal procedures and customer requirements\nSupport external customer, regulatory and certification audits\nAnalyse quality performance data and identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement\nUtilise a variety of quality tools including:8D\n5 Why\nFishbone (Ishikawa)\nFMEA\nControl Plans\nSPC\nPPAP\n\nSupport First Article Inspection (FAI) activities in line with AS9102 and customer requirements\nReview engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation\nWork closely with production teams to improve manufacturing processes and reduce quality defects\nParticipate in New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, ensuring quality requirements are incorporated from project inception\nSupport supplier quality management activities and supplier development initiatives\nMaintain compliance with AS9100, ISO9001 and customer-specific quality standards\nAssist in quality system improvements and continuous improvement projects across the business\nWhat We're Looking For\nPrevious experience as a Quality Engineer within a precision machining, manufacturing or engineering environment\nStrong understanding of manufacturing quality processes and methodologies\nExperience conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions\nAbility to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T and technical specifications\nKnowledge of inspection techniques and measurement equipment\nExperience working within ISO9001 and/or AS9100 certified environments\nProficient in quality problem-solving tools and continuous improvement methodologies\nStrong communication and stakeholder management skills\nAbility to work collaboratively across production, engineering and quality functions\nA proactive and hands-on approach to quality improvement\nDesirable Experience\nAerospace, Defence, Automotive or Advanced Manufacturing background\nLead Auditor or Internal Auditor qualification\nExperience supporting customer audits\nWorking knowledge of FAIRs and AS9102 documentation\nExperience with CMM inspection processes\nKnowledge of APQP, PPAP and Statistical Process Control techniques\nLean Six
