This permanent hybrid role will contribute to UK and EASA regulatory work, including UAS Operational Authorisations, operational documentation and Safety Management System (SMS) activities. Training and guidance will be provided by the Senior Regulatory Manager.\nKey Responsibilities:\nAssist with preparing and progressing UAS Operational Authorisation applications.\nGather, organise and maintain supporting evidence for assessments under the UK SORA and EASA SORA 2.5 frameworks.\nSupport the preparation and controlled updating of Operations Manuals, Concepts of Operations, procedures and compliance documentation.\nHelp draft responses to regulatory queries and support engagement with aviation authorities and other stakeholders.\nMaintain authorisation records, compliance matrices and controlled documents, identifying discrepancies for review.\nSupport the administration of the SMS, including hazard reporting, safety registers, risk assessments and safety action tracking.\nPromote a Just Culture through open reporting, constructive communication and a focus on learning and continuous improvement.\nSupport occurrence investigations, regulatory updates and process improvements under the direction of the Senior Regulatory Manager.\nJob Requirements:\nAn aviation background, or a strong interest in aviation with the willingness to develop regulatory and safety knowledge.\nAwareness of risk-based UAS regulation and an interest in developing practical knowledge of UK SORA and EASA SORA 2.5.\nGood written communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear, accurate and well-structured documentation.\nStrong attention to detail when reviewing documents, maintaining records and managing supporting evidence.\nExcellent organisational skills, with the ability to track actions and work to agreed deadlines.\nA collaborative approach and the confidence to communicate clearly with operational and technical teams while seeking guidance when required.\nThe right to work in the UK and the ability to meet relevant security, travel and background-check requirements.\nA degree in aviation, engineering, safety management or a related discipline would be advantageous.\nDesirable Experience:\nExperience supporting or obtaining UAS Operational Authorisations.\nKnowledge of Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) or advanced UAS operations.\nUnderstanding of aviation SMS and Just Culture principles.\nExperience with the Airspace Change Process (ACP).\nWhat Is Offered:\nHybrid working with site attendance and occasional travel to operational sites, customer locations or regulatory meetings.\nTraining and development under the guidance of an experienced Senior Regulatory Manager.\nThe opportunity to develop regulatory, aviation safety and UAS compliance expertise.\nAn inclusive working environment with reasonable adjustments available throughout the recruitment process.\nThis is an excellent opportunity for someone with an interest in aviation regulation, UAS operations and safety compliance to build a career across the construction, defence and aerospace sectors.
