This permanent role offers the opportunity to contribute to the design and implementation of advanced RF communication systems supporting high-performance weapons systems across the full product lifecycle.\nKey Responsibilities:\nContributing to the research, concept development, design and production of RF data link systems\nManaging requirements and supporting systems design activities across the product lifecycle\nParticipating in or leading technical design reviews and producing clear engineering documentation\nSupporting system-level functionality proving, including software and firmware integration\nCoordinating the transition of development hardware into production, including environmental and qualification testing\nWorking with external suppliers in collaboration with procurement teams\nProviding technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers where appropriate\nCollaborating with multidisciplinary teams and presenting technical information to internal and external stakeholders\nJob Requirements:\nExperience in systems engineering, RF engineering, microwave engineering or a related technical discipline\nKnowledge of RF and microwave systems, with an interest in developing advanced RF communications capability\nUnderstanding of requirements management, systems design and systems modelling\nFamiliarity with antenna systems, waveform design and implementation\nKnowledge of system-level RF modelling and real-time digital signal processing for high-bandwidth systems\nExperience with modelling, autocode generation, signal processing or research based on technical publications\nUnderstanding of software and firmware integration, system proving, design certification and product qualification\nStrong communication skills, including the ability to prepare high-quality technical reports and presentations\nSecurity Requirements:\nApplicants must be British citizens or dual UK nationals holding British citizenship. Successful applicants will be required to undergo HMG Baseline Personnel Security Standard checks after offer stage.
