The successful individual will support the implementation, governance and continuous improvement of project risk management across an Electronics Division, providing independent oversight, assurance and constructive challenge to Integrated Project Teams.\nKey Responsibilities:\nApply the project risk management framework consistently across the full project lifecycle, from bid through to execution\nProvide independent oversight, governance and assurance against risk management policies, standards and corporate requirements\nSupport project teams in identifying, assessing and managing risks and opportunities\nAdvise on risk treatment, mitigation strategies, contingency setting and escalation requirements\nAnalyse residual risk using quantitative risk analysis and Monte Carlo techniques to support project forecasting and decision-making\nPrepare accurate, timely and decision-focused risk reports for governance forums and senior stakeholders\nFacilitate risk identification, review and assurance workshops, providing expert guidance and constructive challenge\nCoach, mentor and support Project Risk Managers while promoting a strong risk management culture\nAdditional Duties:\nReview risk registers, assumptions, risk quantification and mitigation plans to ensure completeness and robustness\nAnalyse risk trends, key performance indicators, key risk indicators, lessons learned and audit findings to identify systemic issues\nSupport the automation, aggregation and analysis of risk data, including AI-informed predictive analysis where appropriate\nReview processes for collecting and storing risk data, helping to maintain high standards of data quality\nDeliver risk management training, coaching and mentoring to individuals and project teams\nSupport internal reviews, audits and customer-facing documentation as required\nJob Requirements:\nSignificant experience in project or programme risk management, ideally within a complex engineering, defence or security environment\nStrong knowledge of enterprise and project risk management frameworks, standards and governance processes\nExperience in project controls and financial control, with the ability to connect risk exposure to project performance and contingency\nHighly numerate, with experience in statistical and financial modelling, quantitative risk analysis and Monte Carlo techniques\nSound understanding of contingency setting and management in line with risk exposure and risk appetite\nAbility to translate complex risk information into clear, concise and decision-focused insight\nStrong stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills, including confidence engaging with senior leaders\nAbility to lead workshops, present technical information and coach individuals and teams effectively\nHigh competency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word\nDegree in a technical, business or related subject, or an equivalent professional qualification\nSecurity Requirements:\nThis role is subject to pre-employment screening in line with the UK Government's Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS).
