excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Marine Electronics Engineer to join a well-established marine business supporting commercial and offshore vessels throughout the UK and overseas.\nThis role will suit a marine electronics professional with strong experience of navigation and communication systems, including radar, gyro compass, GPS, VHF and MF/HF radio systems, who enjoys a varied mix of installation, commissioning, fault finding and survey work.\nThe Role\nInstall, commission, service and maintain marine electronic, navigation and communication systems.\nUndertake fault finding, repairs and upgrades onboard vessels and at customer sites.\nWork on radar, sonar, GPS, ECDIS, gyro compasses, VHF/MF/HF radio systems, VDR and internal communication systems.\nCarry out vessel surveys, radio surveys and VDR performance testing.\nEnsure all installations comply with relevant maritime regulations and international standards.\nProvide technical guidance and support to engineers undertaking complex installations, commissioning and fault-finding activities.\nProduce service reports and technical documentation.\nTravel regularly throughout the local area, with occasional UK and overseas travel.\nWork outdoors and at height when required.\nParticipate in ad-hoc weekend and out-of-hours work.\nRequirements\nProven experience within marine electronics, marine electrical or maritime engineering.\nStrong knowledge of marine navigation and communication systems.\nExperience with radar, gyro compass, GPS, VHF and MF/HF radio equipment.\nAbility to diagnose, repair, install and commission marine electronic systems.\nSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently.\nStrong communication and customer-facing skills.\nHNC/HND, NVQ Level 3 in Electronics/Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience preferred.\nFull UK driving licence.\nValid passport.\nRight to work in the UK.\nPackage\nSalary from
