The role will involve the design and certification of modifications and repairs for aircraft, helicopters and engine nacelle structures. This is a permanent opportunity based primarily in Scotland or Ireland, with remote working potentially available.\nKey Responsibilities:\nDesigning and supporting the certification of aircraft, helicopter and engine nacelle modifications and repairs\nWorking within a Part 21J Design Organisation Approval environment to deliver compliant engineering solutions\nCollaborating with engineers and support teams to coordinate modification projects from initial concept through to completion\nApplying knowledge of EASA Certification Specifications, including CS-23, CS-25, CS-27 and CS-29 requirements\nSupporting the delivery of projects to agreed time, cost and quality requirements\nCommunicating effectively with internal teams, customers and other technical and non-technical stakeholders\nSupporting the progression of designs through to manufacture and final modification delivery\nContributing to engineering improvements and the continued development of the design organisation\nJob Requirements:\nSignificant experience as a Mechanical Engineer or Aeronautical Engineer within an EASA Part 21J Design Organisation environment\nStrong knowledge of Part 21 requirements and aircraft design and certification processes\nGood understanding of relevant EASA Certification Specifications across CS-23, CS-25, CS-27 and CS-29\nDegree-level qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering or a related discipline\nEffective project organisation skills, with the ability to manage priorities and meet strict delivery requirements\nStrong communication and stakeholder management skills\nUnderstanding of the transition from engineering design to manufacturing and aircraft modification\nExperience in stress analysis would be
