Working closely with operational teams, clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders, you will help maximise value while supporting the successful delivery of projects safely, on time, and within budget.\nResponsibilities\nLead the commercial and cost management of water mains renewal projects across the Thames Water framework.\nManage project budgets, cost reporting, forecasting, and cash flow.\nProvide commercial and contractual support to operational teams.\nAdminister and manage NEC contracts, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation.\nIdentify opportunities to improve project profitability and commercial performance.\nPrepare and review valuations, applications for payment, compensation events, and final accounts.\nMonitor project costs and manage change control processes.\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and key stakeholders.\nSupport procurement activities and subcontract management.\nProduce accurate monthly commercial reports and forecasts for senior management.\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives and commercial best practice throughout project delivery.\nSkills Experience/qualifications\nProven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within the construction, utilities, or infrastructure sectors.\nPrevious experience working on water, utilities, civil engineering, or pipeline projects.\nStrong understanding and practical application of NEC contracts.\nExcellent commercial awareness and contract management skills.\nExperience managing project costs, forecasting, and commercial reporting.\nStrong stakeholder and client management capabilities.\nExcellent negotiation and communication skills.\nFull UK driving licence.\nExperience working on Thames Water or other regulated utility frameworks.\nKnowledge of water mains replacement, rehabilitation, or renewal programmes.\nMembership of RICS, ICES, or another relevant professional body.\nDegree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction Management, or a related discipline.\nProfessional membership or progression toward chartered status is desirable.\nBenefits\nSalary up to £70,000
