With a long-established presence on the Sellafield site and a track record supporting complex engineering, decommissioning, asset care, mechanical, electrical and infrastructure programmes, this role offers the opportunity to contribute to some of the UK's most significant nuclear projects. Our client supports major nuclear engineering, decommissioning, maintenance, fabrication and asset care activities across highly regulated environments.\nWorking as part of an experienced commercial team, you will provide commercial leadership across multiple projects and frameworks, ensuring the successful management of cost, value, risk and contractual performance throughout project lifecycles.\nThis is a permanent position working on a hybrid basis in the Sellafield area. You must either already hold or be eligible to obtain security clearnace.\nKey Responsibilities\nManage all commercial aspects of assigned nuclear projects from tender through to final account.\nPrepare, review and negotiate subcontract agreements.\nAdminister NEC contracts and support contract change management activities.\nMonitor project costs, forecasts, cash flow and commercial performance.\nPrepare valuations, applications for payment, compensation events and final accounts.\nIdentify and manage commercial risks and opportunities.\nSupport project teams with cost control and budget management.\nDevelop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, supply chain partners and internal stakeholders.\nProduce accurate cost reports and commercial forecasts for senior management.\nAssist with procurement activities, tender evaluations and subcontractor management.\nEnsure compliance with contractual obligations, governance requirements and commercial procedures.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives across project delivery and commercial functions.\nKey Deliverables\nSuccessful commercial management of nuclear engineering and infrastructure projects.\nAccurate cost forecasting and financial reporting.\nEffective administration of NEC contracts and change management processes.\nTimely settlement of accounts and commercial disputes.\nStrong commercial governance and risk management.\nProtection and enhancement of project profitability.\nSuccessful engagement with client and supply chain stakeholders.\nSkills & Experience\nEssential\nProven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within nuclear, infrastructure, engineering, utilities, defence, energy or major projects environments.\nStrong working knowledge of NEC contracts.\nExperience managing change control, compensation events and final accounts.\nExcellent commercial and financial management skills.\nAbility to interpret contractual documentation and identify commercial risks.\nExperience producing detailed cost reports and project forecasts.\nStrong stakeholder management and communication skills.\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel and commercial reporting tools.\nDesirable\nExperience delivering projects within the nuclear sector.\nKnowledge of engineering, ME&I, decommissioning or asset care projects.\nDegree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction Management or a related discipline.\nMembership of RICS, ICES, CIOB or equivalent professional body.\nExperience working within highly regulated environments.\nSecurity clearance or ability to obtain relevant site
