You will provide architectural leadership across the platform, defining technical strategy, guiding complex migrations, and ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned to business objectives.\nWorking closely with senior stakeholders, technical teams, programme leadership, and third-party suppliers, you will act as the technical authority for ServiceNow architecture and governance throughout the full project lifecycle.\nThis position is ideally suited to a hands-on architect with experience delivering complex ServiceNow implementations and migration programmes within enterprise-scale or highly regulated environments.\nSecurity Requirements\nDue to the nature of the programme:\nActive Developed Vetting (DV) clearance is highly desirable.\nCandidates currently holding Security Check (SC) clearance who are willing and eligible to undergo DV clearance will also be considered.\nThe Role\nAs the Technical ServiceNow Architect, you will take ownership of the overall technical architecture and roadmap, ensuring the successful design, migration, and delivery of critical ServiceNow capabilities.\nKey responsibilities include:\nLeading the end-to-end technical architecture for a major ServiceNow migration programme.\nDefining and maintaining the ServiceNow technical strategy, architecture roadmap, and governance framework.\nDesigning scalable, secure, resilient, and supportable platform solutions aligned to industry best practice.\nProviding architectural oversight across platform configuration, integrations, infrastructure, and data migration activities.\nLeading technical discovery workshops with business and technology stakeholders.\nProducing high-level and low-level designs, solution architectures, and technical documentation.\nDefining migration strategies from existing on-premise environments while minimising operational disruption.\nEnsuring compliance with security, regulatory, and governance requirements within a secure environment.\nReviewing and approving technical designs produced by development and engineering teams.\nActing as the senior technical authority for architecture decisions and platform standards.\nCollaborating with programme managers, technical leads, infrastructure teams, and external suppliers to ensure successful project delivery.\nIdentifying technical risks and implementing mitigation strategies throughout the programme lifecycle.\nSupporting testing, deployment, transition, and operational readiness activities.\nExperience Required\nYou will bring extensive ServiceNow architecture expertise alongside a strong understanding of enterprise technology landscapes and transformation delivery.\nEssential Skills & Experience\nProven experience operating as a Technical Architect, Solution Architect, or Lead Architect within ServiceNow environments.\nDemonstrable experience leading large-scale ServiceNow migration programmes.\nStrong knowledge of ServiceNow architecture, including:ITSM\nITOM\nCMDB\nWorkflows\nPlatform integrations\n\nExperience designing and delivering enterprise-scale ServiceNow solutions.\nStrong understanding of infrastructure, networking, cloud, hybrid, and on-premise technology environments.\nExperience producing architecture artefacts including:High Level Designs (HLDs)\nLow Level Designs (LLDs)\nSolution Designs\nTechnical Specifications\n\nStrong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to communicate effectively at both technical and executive levels.\nExperience establishing architectural governance and ensuring adherence to best practice frameworks.\nAbility to lead technical teams and influence architectural direction across major programmes.\nDesirable Experience\nPrevious experience within Defence, National Security, Government, Aerospace, or other highly regulated sectors.\nExperience delivering complex transformation programmes within secure environments.\nKnowledge of secure platform migration and transition strategies.\nFamiliarity with enterprise architecture frameworks and governance models.\nCertifications\nApplicants should hold one or more of the following certifications:\nServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA) -
