Role\nAs a ServiceNow Portal Developer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and continuous enhancement of ServiceNow portal solutions, ensuring they remain scalable, secure, and user-focused.\nKey responsibilities include:\nDesigning, developing, and maintaining ServiceNow Portal and Employee Centre solutions.\nConfiguring and customising widgets, pages, themes, and portal components.\nTranslating business requirements into robust technical solutions.\nDeveloping integrations between ServiceNow and external enterprise systems.\nCreating responsive, accessible, and engaging self-service experiences.\nSupporting Service Catalog, workflows, knowledge management, and employee self-service capabilities.\nParticipating in solution design, code reviews, testing, deployment, and release activities.\nTroubleshooting issues and driving continuous platform improvement.\nProducing technical documentation and supporting knowledge transfer across teams.\nEnsuring development aligns with ServiceNow best practices and coding standards.\nExperience Required\nYou will have a proven track record delivering ServiceNow portal solutions within complex enterprise environments.\nEssential Skills\nStrong experience as a ServiceNow Developer with a focus on portal development.\nHands-on experience with Service Portal and/or Employee Centre.\nStrong JavaScript, HTML, CSS, AngularJS, and ServiceNow scripting skills.\nExperience developing custom widgets and self-service solutions.\nSolid understanding of ServiceNow ITSM and Service Catalog modules.\nExperience integrating ServiceNow with third-party applications and enterprise systems.\nKnowledge of UI/UX principles and responsive design.\nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nDesirable Experience\nExperience working within government, defence, national security, or other highly regulated environments.\nExperience supporting large-scale digital transformation programmes.\nFamiliarity with secure development and deployment practices.\nCertifications\nApplicants should hold one or more of the following:\nServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)\nServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)\nServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS)\nServiceNow Certified
