This is a fantastic opportunity for a SharePoint specialist with strong platform, infrastructure and administration expertise to support a business-critical collaboration environment.\nThis role is primarily focused on platform maintenance, optimisation, governance and support, rather than development. While predominantly remote, candidates should be willing and able to travel to London on occasion for stakeholder meetings, workshops and project activities.\nKey Responsibilities\nAct as the Subject Matter Expert for the SharePoint Server Subscription Edition platform.\nManage the ongoing maintenance, health, performance and availability of the SharePoint environment.\nMonitor, troubleshoot and resolve platform-related issues.\nPerform platform upgrades, patching and configuration management.\nManage SharePoint security, permissions and governance.\nSupport business and technical teams with platform-related queries and improvements.\nWork closely with infrastructure, security and application teams to ensure platform stability and compliance.\nContribute to future platform strategy, best practice and roadmap planning.\nEssential Skills & Experience\nStrong hands-on experience supporting and administering SharePoint Server Subscription Edition.\nDeep understanding of SharePoint architecture, farm administration and platform maintenance.\nExperience with SharePoint patching, upgrades, backup and recovery processes.\nStrong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, IIS and PowerShell.\nExperience managing SharePoint security, permissions and governance.\nProven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex platform issues.\nExcellent stakeholder and communication skills.\nDesirable Skills\nExperience with SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365.\nKnowledge of SharePoint migration and hybrid environments.\nExperience within legal, professional services or other highly regulated environments.\nFamiliarity with Azure and wider Microsoft collaboration technologies.\nContract Details\nRole: SharePoint Platform SME\nClient: Leading London Law Firm\nLocation: Remote with occasional travel to London\nIR35 Status: Inside IR35\nStart Date: ASAP\nDuration: Until 31st January 2027\nRate: Competitive day rate\nIf you're an experienced SharePoint Platform SME with strong expertise in SharePoint Server Subscription Edition administration and maintenance, we'd love to hear from you.
