You'll influence the design, implementation and long-term support of the environment while ensuring users have access to secure, reliable and high-performing IT services.\nWorking closely with the IT Service Delivery Manager and wider technology teams, you'll help shape local IT strategy, drive infrastructure improvements and champion security, compliance and operational excellence.\nWhat You'll Be Doing\nOwning and optimising a secure on-premise VDI environment, ensuring performance, availability and user experience remain first-class.\nLeading the migration and enhancement of virtual desktop platforms using next-generation technologies.\nSupporting and developing core infrastructure including servers, storage, networking and virtualisation platforms.\nDelivering strategic projects that improve IT capability, efficiency and user experience.\nCollaborating with architecture teams, service delivery teams and third-party vendors to introduce innovative solutions.\nMaintaining a strong security posture and ensuring compliance with standards such as ISO 27001, NIST and Cyber Essentials Plus.\nManaging incidents, changes and problem-resolution activities to minimise disruption and continually improve services.\nOverseeing backup, disaster recovery and business continuity processes, including annual testing exercises.\nProviding technical expertise and recommendations on emerging technologies, infrastructure roadmaps and future improvements.\nSupporting budget planning, project proposals and ongoing technology investment decisions.\nWhat We're Looking For\nExperience in a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Technical Architect or similar role.\nStrong experience supporting enterprise-scale IT infrastructure environments.\nExpertise in VDI technologies such as Omnissa Horizon, VMware Horizon or equivalent platforms.\nKnowledge of virtualisation, networking, storage and security technologies.\nExperience managing Windows Server environments and Microsoft technologies including Azure, Microsoft 365, Intune, SCCM and Autopilot.\nStrong PowerShell or automation scripting skills.\nExperience working within structured IT Service Management environments and ITIL processes.\nA proactive, outcome-focused approach with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.\nAbility to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders across a global business.\nDesirable Experience\nNutanix Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI).\nDell Thin Client and Wyse Management Server administration.\nWindows 11 and Ubuntu image creation and management.\nMulti-site or geographically dispersed infrastructure environments.\nExperience within regulated, security-conscious or mission-critical sectors.\nSecurity
