Based at our Pimlico campus, this is a full-time position working 38 hours per week. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work across a mix of morning and afternoon shifts, providing support to the CSSD team Monday to Friday. Shift hours operate between 6:30am and 3:00pm for morning shifts and 2:30pm and 11:00pm for afternoon shifts, offering variety and flexibility within the role.\n As the CSSD Coordinator at Mater Townsville, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of services to CSSD stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include providing direct support, coaching, and education to technicians within the CSSD unit. With a focus on quality of services and future planning, you will be responsible for driving positive outcomes on a daily basis.\nSalary range: $43.70 - $48.12 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $18,550 + access to many staff benefits!\nWhat you’ll be doing\nAct as a technical expert within the CSSD unit, demonstrating specialized knowledge and skills.\nCollaborate with colleagues across the Townsville network and wider MML network to support daily operations and organizational activities.\nFoster positive relationships and cooperation with peers and colleagues across various units and departments to facilitate a seamless patient journey.\nLead daily staff huddles/meetings to ensure effective communication and coordination.\nImplement and coordinate the education program for CSSD technicians.\n About you\nCertificate III in Sterilisation (essential)\nAdvanced knowledge of AS/NZS5369:2023 and compliance requirements.\nExcellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.\nDemonstrated people management and leadership experience in a CSSD setting.\nExperience in roster management and workforce planning in a healthcare environment.\nStrong focus on sustainable business outcomes while prioritizing patient experience and outcomes.\nStrong critical thinking and judgment skills in a fast-paced environment.\nWhy join us?\nMater is Queensland’s largest not-for-profit network of public and private hospitals and healthcare services, bringing together world-class expertise across healthcare, education, fundraising & philanthropy and research.
