CSSD Technicians assist the perioperative clinical team in delivering clinical care under the direction and supervision of the Registered and Enrolled Nurses when necessary.\nMater Private Hospital Rockhampton has been supporting the health of people living in and around Rockhampton for more than a century. Today, our 136-bed facility features five operating theatres, a private emergency service and a wide range of specialised clinical services.\nSalary range: $37.93 - $39.04 per hourplus superannuationplus casual loading andaccess to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900+access to many staff benefits!\nWhat you’ll be doing\n Apply appropriate cleaning methods, disinfecting agents and procedures on surgical instrumentation\nProcess equipment for transfer to an external sterilising unit where necessary\nMaintain a sound knowledge of surgical instruments and packaging techniques\nConduct all sterilisation procedures following accepted sterilisation methods and principles\nProcess endoscopic equipment for multi-use purposes\nStore sterilised items appropriately to maintain sterility and maximise access and efficiency\nPerform functions within the scope of practice according to accepted clinical principles, standards, and regulations\nAbout you\nTo be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following criteria:\nA demonstrated understanding of infection control principles\nBasic computer skills\nDemonstrated interpersonal and communication skills\nExposure to Sterilisation Services in a healthcare environment\nCertificate III in Sterilisation Services, or the ability to provide evidence of working towards.
