$61.86 per hour plus superannuationandaccess to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $18,550 +access to many staff benefits!\nWhat you'll be doing\nPerform a diverse range of technical tasks, from routine to complex and integrated with other disciplines that is of a consistently high technical standard.\nIndependently solve complex technical problems regarding biomedical equipment such as ventilators, anaesthetic machines, patient monitors, defibrillators, infusion pumps etc with minimal supervision.\nMaintain accurate service records and documentation in accordance with applicable Australian Standards, manufacturer requirements, regulatory obligations and accreditation requirements.\nActively participate and provide support to the team, advice to peers, advice or reporting services to managers.\nTake responsibility for work at all levels within the biomedical engineering department without regular supervision.\nActively develop junior staff by mentoring, guiding and training in procedures and practices in the biomedical engineering department.\nContribute to the development of policies, procedures and technical practice and participate in quality and service improvement activities to continually improve patient care.\nInstalling, configuring and supporting networked medical equipment.\nAttend training for continuing professional and technical development.\nParticipate in 24-hour, 7 day on-call roster.\nYou may be reasonably requested to work at an alternative location to your primary place of work.\nYou may also be required to travel as reasonably necessary for the performance of your duties to other Mater sites.\nThis is a physically active role, including lifting and moving equipment, working on ladders and working in tight spaces.\nAny other reasonable requests as directed by supervisor.\nTo observe all safe working practices as directed by the supervisor and use of personal protective equipment as provided.\nReport all accidents, incidents, near misses and hazardous situations arising in the course of work.\nPromptly acknowledge responses to concerns and requests made by stakeholders.\nAbout you\nEssential\nApplications that do not meet all of the essential requirements will not be considered.\nThe successful applicant MUST hold at least an Associate Diploma (if graduating prior to the year 2000) or a Diploma or Advanced Diploma (or equivalent) (Year 2000 onwards).\nDemonstrated specialist knowledge, expertise and skill in servicing electronic biomedical equipment such as ventilators, anaesthetic machines, patient monitors, defibrillators and infusion pumps, in a hospital or similar environment.\nRestricted Certificate of Competency (Levels 1, 3 and 5) as issued by the Electrical Workers and Contractors Board (Qld).\nHold a full and valid Qld driver's licence.\nDesirable\nCisco Networking Academy -
