Please note; you must be flexible to work am, pm, weekends and night shifts, sometimes at short notice.\nSalary range: $35.74 - $42.61 per hourplus superannuationandaccess to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900+access to many staff benefits!\nWhat you’ll be doing\nAccountable and responsible for the effective coordination of cleaning, patient transport, linen and waste functions and day to day operations, within delegated levels of responsibility\nPlans, organises, assigns, and supervises the work of several diversified personnel engaged in services\nTo ensure that the required levels of service are maintained through effective staff management\nTo ensure that required training for all staff reporting to them is compliant\nEnsures services are aligned to all legislative compliance requirements and infectious control compliance for the purpose of complying with regulatory requirements and established guidelines\nEnsure a high standard and quality of cleanliness throughout the entire hospital including the cleanliness of patient rooms, consulting suites, theatre complexes, offices and general areas of the hospital\nResponds to customer requirements (patients, staff and management) for the purpose of providing exceptional service, information and/or direction regarding available service policies and practices\nTo be available as a cleaning and linen content expert and to advise on process and requirements to maintain a clean, hygienic environment\nImplement & ensure all department policies, processes, objectives and procedures are followed by responsible staff\nTeam Leadership\nDelegate suitable work to members of the team\nManages compliance and risk, in part by ensuring direct reports fulfil mandatory and professional competency requirements, that audits are completed in a timely fashion and endorsed recommendations implemented, and that risks assigned your department, team receive prompt and effective action\nIdentifies, reports, responds to and rectifies workplace health and safety (WHS) concerns from within own reporting structure\nAbout you\nThe successful applicant must demonstrate experience leading and managing a large diverse team of staff\nPrevious Health / Aged Care or Hotel management experience in housekeeping or cleaning would be desirable\nComputer literacy\nAbility to ensure that all functions within their responsible services achieve standards and meet key performance indicators.\nExperience in leadership within a large diverse team.\n Have a strategic outlook.\nAn ability to engage with operational staff across the business.\nCreativity and innovation; and being agile, open to change and a continuous learner.\nAdvanced written and oral communication skills\nWhy join us?\nMater is Queensland’s largest not-for-profit network of public and private hospitals and healthcare services, bringing together world-class expertise across healthcare, education, fundraising & philanthropy and research.
