Are you excited by the idea of turning early concepts into validated medical devices that can make a real difference for patients and healthcare professionals? As a Product Development Engineer, you will play a key role in transforming ideas into market-ready products.

Starting from an idea or early concept, you will gather product needs and translate them into verifiable product requirements. You will explore and develop design solutions that meet those requirements and optimize them through safety and performance verification testing. By combining this with feedback from potential users, such as surgeons and other healthcare professionals, you will help deliver fully validated products ready for market launch.

Your responsibilities

  • Define the scope of development projects in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Improve existing medical devices and their related documentation.
  • Perform verification testing of product performance and safety requirements.
  • Perform validation testing of product needs.
  • Report and document in line with medical device standards and internal procedures.
  • Transfer content to teams further along in the process, such as process engineering and regulatory.
  • Actively contribute to regulatory submissions as a product specialist.
  • Identify opportunities for new medical device applications and technologies.
  • Translate medical device ideas into future development projects.

Your Profile

  • You have a Master’s degree in Science or Engineering (Mechanical, Biomechanical, or Product Design).
  • You have a strong attention to detail.
  • You are creative while still working within established frameworks and processes.
  • You possess strong analytical skills and a curious mindset.
  • You are committed to becoming a subject matter expert in various areas and are open to advising different teams within the organization.
  • You can think in 3D and are proficient in 3D modeling.
  • You have project management skills and can effectively divide your time across multiple projects simultaneously.
  • You have a fundamental understanding of anatomy.
  • You are fluent in English, both spoken and written.
