This is a key role for someone who enjoys combining technical vision, pragmatic decision-making, and cross-team leadership to build scalable, secure, and maintainable software.\nWhat you will do\nDefine and evolve the architectural vision for scalable, secure, and maintainable SaaS solutions aligned with business goals.\nLead architecture decisions across services, APIs, integrations, and platform capabilities.\nGuide the move toward container-based architectures and modern cloud-native engineering practices.\nWork closely with engineering teams to improve software design, code quality, testing, deployment, and production readiness.\nCollaborate with DevOps and platform teams to align solutions with company standards, templates, and deployment practices around Kubernetes, Helm, ArgoCD, and monorepo workflows.\nShape multi-tenant SaaS capabilities, including tenant-aware services, security boundaries, and platform scalability.\nPartner with product management, stakeholders, and technical leaders to shape and defend the technical roadmap.\nMentor engineers and help foster strong architectural and engineering practices across teams.\nRepresent your team in the broader architecture community and contribute to alignment across departments.\nYour profile\nWhat is a must?\nProven experience in a Software Architect or similar senior technical leadership role.\nStrong experience designing distributed systems and cloud-native applications in container-based environments.\nSolid knowledge of Kubernetes and modern deployment practices for containerized workloads.\nStrong experience with .NET / C#, and the ability to guide architecture in a mixed-technology environment.\nStrong understanding of software architecture principles, OOP, SOLID, design patterns, and maintainable system design.\nExperience designing SaaS and multi-tenant solutions.\nStrong knowledge of API design, HTTP, REST, and service integration patterns.\nSolid understanding of application and API security best practices.\nExperience working with relational and NoSQL databases.\nStrong communication skills in English, with the ability to explain and defend technical decisions across technical and non-technical audiences.\nAbility to lead through influence, mentor engineers, and create alignment across teams.\nWhat is nice to have?\nExperience with Python in production systems.\nFamiliarity with Helm, ArgoCD, and monorepo -based development models.\nExperience with at least one major cloud provider such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.\nFamiliarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.\nExperience with observability and monitoring tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, or Grafana.\nKnowledge of OIDC, OAuth2, JWT, and modern identity patterns.\nFamiliarity with Linux and scripting in Bash or PowerShell.\nWhat’s waiting for you\nWork that matters \nThe technology we build at Materialise pushes the boundaries.
