Join us!\n3rd Shift: Sunday - Friday 10:30pm-7am\nPosition Summary\nThe ARC Melter Operator is responsible for producing high-quality Tantalum ingots using Electron Beam (EB), Arc, and related vacuum melting furnaces. This role also includes operation of additional Q Plant and support equipment, routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and adherence to safety and quality standards.\nEssential Functions & Responsibilities\nSet up and operate EB and Arc furnaces following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Operating Procedure Cards (OPCs), and job-specific routers.\nOperate GCA and AC furnaces, Hydride/Dehydride and Agglomeration furnaces, Eitel Press, 1500T Press, and mold cleaning equipment as required.\nOperate vacuum furnaces and perform vacuum leak detection.\nInspect and maintain molds, melt hardware, and all necessary operating supplies.\nInspect materials to ensure product specifications are met and report defects or issues to supervision.\nWork collaboratively with welders and other downstream operations to ensure process alignment.\nEnter material movements into SAP and complete all quality control and lot traceability documentation to ensure accurate identification and testing records.\nPerform routine troubleshooting, minor repairs, and preventive maintenance on production equipment.\nMaintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area in alignment with 5S and safety standards.\nFollow all safety rules, environmental regulations, and standard operating procedures to maintain high product quality and safe working conditions.\nRequirements & Qualifications\nHigh school diploma or GED required.\nMinimum 2 years industrial manufacturing experience; experience using computer databases such as SAP preferred.\nExperience with vacuum systems required; vacuum melting experience with EB, Arc, or CMAF preferred.\nMechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail.\nQuality inspection experience preferred.\nTroubleshooting experience preferred.\nForklift experience required or preferred (depending on company standards).\nAbility to follow detailed operating procedures and safety rules.\nAbility to work collaboratively, make sound decisions, identify production issues, and seek assistance when needed.\nMust be safety-conscious and able to understand safety and environmental requirements.\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to work in manufacturing, production, and shipping environments.\nAble to lift up to 50 lbs safely.\nAbility to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift for extended periods.\nAbility to work overtime as needed to meet production requirements.\nPay Range:\n$27.18-$33.56\nActual base salary offered varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.\nThe selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR).\nThe candidate selected will have to qualify as either a U.S. citizen, a U.S. National, a lawful permanent resident of the U.S., a Person Admitted into the U.S. as an Asylee or Refugee., a National of a country that is not prohibited from having access to U.S. controlled technology (via a letter of assurance), or a Person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction.
