We provide training, and whether you are starting out your career, returning to the workforce or looking to make a change, Materion has so much to offer.\nStarting Pay ranges from$20.47-$21.77 plus Shift Differential ($1.50 for afternoon shift & $1.00 for overnight shift)\nJanitorial\nYou will have the opportunity to:\nPerform job duties which focus on upkeeping the plant site including the cafeteria, medical, offices, restrooms, etc. ensuring they are clean and orderly.\nRemove litter and waste materials from cafeteria, medical offices, conference rooms, and restrooms.\nClean, mop, and strip and wax all offices, restrooms, and tiled hallways.\nWash windows, walls, and doors; clean window shades as needed.\nInspect and properly dispose of biohazardous and nonhazardous waste according to established procedures.\nMaintain assigned work area and generally plans own route schedule for completing assignments.\nLaundry\nYou will have the opportunity to:\nProvide locker room orientation to visitors.\nPerform quality checks on uniforms.\nCollect, run and distribute laundry.\nPerform inventory on uniforms and other stock.\nClean and inspect respirator equipment.\nDecontamination\nYou will have the opportunity to:\nOperate a variety of machinery for moving snow handling, road cleaning, material handling\nImplement snow removal plan to include salting walkways and snow removal.\nOperate forklifts/overhead cranes to move material.\nUse lawn mowers, weed cutters, power washers, vehicles, and hand tools in the performance of assigned tasks.\nMaintain plant roadway to facilitate dust control.\nPerform work from elevated platforms, scaffolds, ladders and other devices to provide overhead cleaning activities.\nRequirements:\nHigh School Diploma /GED\n1 year experience working in general career field, no previous experience required but is desirable\nRequires on-the-job training to learn operation of equipment and various cleaning techniques associated with the job\nMust be able to work independently or as a member of a team to meet demands\nMust have good verbal and written skills\nOne week of training necessary to perform adequately in assigned area.\nEssential Tasks:\nThis position requires the individual to wear and work in personal protective equipment\nThis position requires that the individual is able to lift a minimum of 45lbs. and can maneuver large, cumbersome equipment\nRequired to do data entry and operate a computer at times\nRequired to stand, walk and sit; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands to finger, handle, grip or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms\nRegularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, and crouch at times\nAbility to push/pull up to 130 pounds of force\nSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision and the ability to adjust focus when reading\nAbility to work in environments with hot temperature conditions\nAbility to operate manufacturing equipment such as forklifts on occasion\nHP\nThe selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR).\nThe candidate selected will have to qualify as either a U.S. citizen, a U.S. National, a lawful permanent resident of the U.S., a Person Admitted into the U.S. as an Asylee or Refugee., a National of a country that is not prohibited from having access to U.S. controlled technology (via a letter of assurance), or a Person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction.
