Join us!\nThe Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for the daily operation, organization, and continuous improvement of the stockroom supporting the Westford and Tyngsboro sites. This role combines hands-on material handling with higher-level inventory control, reporting, documentation, special projects, and cross-functional collaboration. The Specialist acts as the functional owner of the stockroom, maintains inventory accuracy, leads improvement initiatives, and develops the systems and processes that will support future stockroom personnel.\nThis position retains core stockroom responsibilities while adding increased accountability for project work, data integrity, training development, and process optimization.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nYou will have an opportunity to:\n50%\nDaily Operations & Material Handling\nPerform daily stockroom functions including kitting work orders, supporting planners, issuing materials, and fulfilling technician requests.\nProcess incoming materials from Receiving and Incoming Inspection, ensuring accurate ERP transactions.\nPull finished goods based on the Shipping Dispatch List and customer requirements.\nConduct cycle counts, reconcile discrepancies, and maintain high inventory accuracy.\nMaintain consumables inventory including VMI items, chemicals, customer-specific packaging, final inspection materials, glass stock variations, and chamber-related spare parts.\nSupport stockroom cleanliness, organization, and 5S standards across both sites.\n25%\nReporting & Inventory Control\nGenerate and maintain daily and weekly operational reports, including:Previous-day receipts\nOrder point reports for high-usage materials\nWeekly shipping dispatch list\n\nMonitor inventory levels, recommend reorder adjustments, and support optimization of stock parameters.\nServe as a subject-matter expert for inventory accuracy, ERP data integrity, and material flow.\n20%\nStockroom Ownership & Continuous Improvement\nAct as the primary owner of the stockroom layout, organization, standards, and operational practices.\nLead cross-functional improvement projects including:Stockroom redesigns\nConsumables room restructuring\nConsolidation of finished goods into the stockroom\nBarcode system development (Bartender integration, scanning workflows, labeling standards)\nRecycle/metal segregation room improvements\n\nPartner with leadership to complete GEMBA action items, support safety initiatives, and implement operational improvements.\nIdentify opportunities for cost savings, space utilization improvements, and streamlining material flows.\n5%\nDocumentation & Training Responsibilities\nCreate work instructions, process flow charts, task files, and training for all stockroom functions.\nTrain new stockroom employees when hired and act as a mentor/subject-matter expert.\nSalary range: $24.25-31.50 per hour\n*The salary range listed is a guide for this position and may vary depending on experience, education, geographic location, and other qualifications.
