Join us!\nJob Summary:\nUnder the direction of the Elmhurst Service Group Leader, the Material Handler is an entry level training position which ultimately will lead to being assigned to a work cell at the Service Center for the purpose of supporting the Cell Lead Operator in processing Customer Orders in an efficient and timely manner.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nDuring an employee’s tenure at this position, they shall receive training as a material handler.\nFollows direction of “trainer”.\nProvides “feedback” to trainer to assess competency level.\nAdheres to all safety procedures & rules.\nAdheres to all quality procedures at the facility.\nProcesses orders in an effective and efficient manner.\nOperates equipment to ensure the highest quality standard, while maintaining an effective productivity rate.\nParticipates in equipment maintenance duties as required.\nContinually inspects finished product for conformance to customer & materion standards & requirements.\nTakes appropriate action to prevent escape of “non-conforming” material.\nMaintains work area in a neat, clean, and organized manner.\nResponsible to assist machine operator in the orderly and efficient flow of material in a slitting work center.\nPulls stock as necessary from inventory.\nLoads material as necessary on payoff equipment.\nUnloads finished cuts and sidecuts as necessary.\nFills out all required order documentation and forms.\nReturns remnant material to inventory.\nParticipates in “team” activities as required.\nPerforms other duties as required or assigned.\nEducation and/or Experience:\nIndividual must have a High School Diploma or GED.\nWorking knowledge of SAP and Microsoft products is a plus\nStrong verbal and written communication skills required.\nSelf-motivated and able to initiate action without direction required.\nAbility to multi-task and prioritize required.\nHP\nPay Range:\n$0.00 - $0.00Actual base salary offered varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.\nMaterion Corporation and its subsidiaries (the “Company”) is an equal employment opportunity employer.
