Join us!\nThe Elmore Plant Manager, Support Services, is responsible for the effective management of all functional teams associated with the Elmore facility. This includes Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S), Quality, Maintenance, Facilities, Security, Shipping & Receiving and Plant Administrative support. The Plant Manager, Support Services will ensure seamless coordination among these departments to achieve operational excellence, maintain compliance, and drive continuous improvement across all areas of the plan.\nBased at our Elmore, Ohio facility and reporting to the Vice President, Operations - Materion Performance Materials (PM), this highly visible role operates on multiple levels in a matrixed organization.\nYou will have the opportunity to:\nDrives initiatives to foster a best-in-class safety culture.\n\nSupports the Elmore Plant Manager, Operations, to ensure On Time Delivery, Productivity and Cost targets are met.\n\nManages and monitors systems that ensure compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations, labor law and compliance, with corporate policies and procedures.\n\nCollaborates across Materion’s global organization to achieve lowest cost position in all functional areas.\n\nAble to develop and hone functional strategies to support Operations and their implementation.\n\nDifferentiates through manufacturing excellence based on process reliability and the fundamental concepts of Lean Six Sigma or other continuous improvement tools in all business areas.\n\nProvides critical business analytics for high profile/strategic projects.\n\nDemonstrates and utilizes principles and industry standard methodologies in asset management to improve the overall reliability for the assets, equipment, systems operated and maintained by Materion.\n\nUnderstands, develops and follows processes/procedures to collect relevant information for decision-making in capital planning for Materion’s asset management, asset renewal or asset replacement.\n\nManages, coaches and develops plant leadership team.\n\nDevelops plant talent, skills and career paths to attract, retain, engage a highly skilled workforce.\n\nDrives organizational development initiatives to align workforce plans with business needs.\n\nServes as a primary local community partner on behalf of Materion.\n\nIs customer-focused and exceeds customer expectations in all aspects of our business.\n\nIs results-oriented, team based organizational approach in line with high personal and professional standards.\n\nREQUIREMENTS:\nBachelor’s Degree in related field required (Engineering, Operations Management, Technology); Master’s Degree preferred.\n\n12-15 years or more of managerial experience in manufacturing/industrial environments; heavy industrial - capital intensive desired.\n\nWorking knowledge of OSHA regulations, Environmental regulations and labor law.\n\nKnowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources).\n\nLean Six Sigma Black Belt, Green Belt or equivalent knowledge of formal Quality and Productivity Improvement Processes.\n\nStrong analytical and critical thinking skills; focus on driving disciplined, fact-based decisions and executing with discipline and urgency.\n\nTrack record of successful Project Management experience, leading multiple projects.\n\nStrong team building, decision-making and people management skills.\n\nAbility to create accountability and to lead by example.\n\nExperience in both direct leadership of subordinate staff as well as “influencing” others to achieve desired results.\n\nInspirational & adaptive leadership style that promotes innovation and collaboration that fosters an engaged workforce committed to common goals.\n\nExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, including ability to present information to diverse audiences.\n\nThe selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR).\nThe candidate selected will have to qualify as either a U.S. citizen, a U.S. National, a lawful permanent resident of the U.S., a Person Admitted into the U.S. as an Asylee or Refugee., a National of a country that is not prohibited from having access to U.S. controlled technology (via a letter of assurance), or a Person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction.
