Join us!\nExcited to grow your career?\nUnder the direction of the Quality Manager, the Process Engineer provides technical guidance and drives continuous improvements in manufacturing process capability, capacity and productivity to ensure safe and optimal process utilization. Implements capital and expense projects within scope, cost, time and safety standards.\nYou will have the opportunity to:\nFocus on working safely and supporting a safe work environment.\nIdentifies, recommends and implements improvements in plant performance to optimize product volume, yields and quality in accordance with business needs.\nGathers and evaluates data, applies statistical techniques to improve process capability, uses root cause and corrective action techniques to resolve process challenges, and implements improvement opportunities.\nProvides technical support for melting, casting, and post-casting processes.\nDevelops plant Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for process and equipment operation.\nProvides training as required to manufacturing personnel to improve context for their roles.\nWorks with Quality personnel on customer complaint resolution and other efforts.\nInteracts with external testing and processing vendors.\nMust be proficient with computers and Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).\nAbility to apply SPC, DOE, Lean/Six Sigma, mathematics, and statistics to solve complex manufacturing process problems.\nSome knowledge of computer-based data acquisition is helpful.\nHighly self-motivated and self-directed.\nREQUIREMENTS:\nBS in Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, or other engineering discipline from an accredited college.\nOne to three years work experience in Process Engineering.\nExposure to and basic understanding of melting, casting, and solidification is helpful.\nAbility to work in a team environment that supports melting and casting operations.\nAutoCad or SolidWorks experience is a plus.\nHighly self-motivated and self-directed.\nLean Six Sigma Training is a plus.\nMaterion Corporation and its subsidiaries (the “Company”) is an equal employment opportunity employer.
