Join us!\nThe Technology & Innovation Manager will be responsible for identifying and developing technologies, represents Materion’s technological capabilities to relevant stakeholders (customers, partners, R&D etc and acts as an interface between external parties and Materion internal functions (T&I, sales & marketing, manufacturing and supply chain).\nReporting to the Director Technology & Innovation EMEA and working closely with the management and team in Farnborough, the key responsibilities of this role will include but not be limited to:\nCarry out T&I development activities, following the process and reporting paths\nContribute to the T&I roadmap\nDevelop materials, processes and associated specifications.\nProvide technical support as appropriate for operations, quality & customers. \nPerform materials and component testing, partly with external partners\nBe customer support and understand the applications as far as possible\nManage metallurgical and testing laboratory \nParticipate in R&D programs (be part of the application process and follow the regulations/obligations)\nWrite and present papers at technical conferences\nAdvise on current and emerging best practice\nOther\nTo undertake any other duties as requested by the Director, Technology & Innovation EMEA in conjunction with local manufacturing and Corporate requests.\nEducation/Experience and skills:\n\nMaster or PHD in Metallurgy and/or Material Science (Focus: metallic materials)\n\nExperience in powder metallurgy, 3D-printing and/or materials testing\nGeneral understanding when evaluating standards and customer specifications\n\nSkills:\nEssential:\n\nStrong innovation and networking skills\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills\nExcellent PC and organisational skills.\nStrong attention to detail\nHighly motivated with the ability to work independently, as well as part of a wider team\nStrong business acumen and ability to translate technology to potential business impacts.\nAbility to interact at all levels within the company and also with external customers\nHighly flexible proactive approach\nAbility to travel occasionally (Europe & Worldwide)\nDesirable/Preferred:\n Language - German/French/Italian is desirable.\nMaterion Corporation and its subsidiaries (the “Company”) is an equal employment opportunity employer.
