Reporting to the Project Manager, this role is responsible for assisting with project administration, cost control, scheduling, quality management, safety compliance, and overall project performance.\nYou will work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, consultants, and clients to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with contractual requirements.\nKey Responsibilities\nProject Administration & Coordination\nEstablish and maintain project reporting systems, including:Cost reports\nFile logs\nSubmittal logs\nChange order logs\nProject correspondence\n\nMaintain organized and accurate project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.\nPrepare correspondence, reports, forms, and specialized documents while ensuring accuracy, completeness, and professional formatting.\nSupport project teams with administrative and coordination activities as required.\nCost Control & Financial Management\nAssist the Project Manager with project budget development and ongoing cost monitoring.\nPerform detailed cost reviews and support accurate budget forecasting.\nPrepare and verify progress billings for owners and subcontractors.\nMonitor project financial performance and assist in identifying opportunities to improve profitability.\nSupport subcontract buyout processes and track subcontractor commitments.\nScheduling & Project Performance\nAssist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of project schedules.\nTrack project progress and provide status updates related to schedule, cost, and safety performance.\nSupport proactive identification of project risks, delays, and potential impacts to project objectives.\nCoordinate activities to ensure project milestones and contractual requirements are achieved.\nContract Administration\nDevelop an understanding of contract documents, specifications, drawings, and contractual obligations.\nAssist in enforcing contractual responsibilities and supporting dispute resolution when required.\nSupport the preparation, negotiation, issuance, and administration of subcontracts and major purchase orders.\nMonitor subcontractor performance, progress, and compliance with contractual requirements.\nSafety, Quality & Compliance\nMonitor project safety reporting and support compliance with company Health, Safety, and Environmental programs.\nParticipate in regular site safety inspections and ensure corrective actions are addressed.\nAssist in developing and maintaining project quality control plans.\nSupport the establishment of site action teams and quality initiatives as required.\nLiaise with building authorities, regulatory agencies, and project stakeholders to support project compliance.\nMeetings & Stakeholder Communication\nBuild and maintain positive relationships with owners, architects, consultants, subcontractors, and the public.\nCoordinate project meetings and distribute agendas, minutes, and action items.\nChair project meetings when required and ensure follow-up on outstanding items.\nFacilitate communication between project stakeholders to support successful project execution.\nProject Closeout\nParticipate in all aspects of project closeout activities, including:Document archiving\nDeficiency management\nWarranty administration\nMaintenance and operations manuals\nFinal project documentation\n\nSupport successful project turnover and client satisfaction at project completion.\nQualifications\nEducation & Experience\nPost-secondary diploma or degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.\nPrevious project coordination experience, preferably with a mid-to-large general contractor, is considered an asset.\nExperience working within commercial, institutional, industrial, or civil construction environments is an asset.\nTechnical Skills\nStrong proficiency Microsoft\nExperience with Viewpoint or other construction management software is considered an asset.\nAbility to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.\nWorking knowledge of construction methods, materials, equipment, and sequencing.\nSkills & Competencies\nStrong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.\nExcellent
