Join us and be part of a team where your creativity and contributions help shape the future of global manufacturing.\nBenefits\nMAT Holdings Inc. and its subsidiaries offer a complete benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, and disability insurance after 60 days of employment\nPaid Time Off (PTO), including paid vacation, sick days, and paid holidays\n401k Retirement Plan + Company Match\nCareer Advancement Program, training and development\nWellness Programs, including fitness reimbursements and mental health support\nHealth Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)\nVoluntary Life / AD&D , Employer Provided Life/AD&D\nand More\nResponsible for compliance with U.S. Customs & Border Protection (CBP) laws and regulations to ensure the company’s overall compliance with all U.S. Government Regulatory agencies related to the company’s import services.\nPrinciple Responsibilities\nRegulatory Compliance:Ensure compliance with all applicable import/export laws, with a primary focus on the U.S. Customs regulations,\nMonitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on business operations.\n\nProgram Management:Develop and implement trade strategies that align with the company’s business objectives and support global operations.\nDevelop and maintain global trade compliance policies, procedures, and training programs.\nAssist in preparing for and participating in internal and external audits, post-entry reviews, and compliance assessments.\n\nOperational Support:Collaborate with supply chain, logistics, legal, and procurement teams to ensure compliant movement of goods across borders.\nSupport classification of products (HTS), valuation, country of origin determination, and FTA eligibility.\nDetermine and apply Antidumping and Countervailing case numbers and duty rates.\nKnowledge of the Commerce Control List (CCL) and ability to assign ECCNs\nDetermine if an export license is required under the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)\nSource Customs rulings to support classification determinations\n\nTraining & Communication:Provide training and guidance to internal stakeholders on trade compliance requirements.\nServe as the primary point of contact for the US Customs and Border Patrol trade compliance inquiries and investigations.\n\nTechnology & Documentation:Maintain accurate records and documentation to support audits and regulatory inquiries.\nLeverage data to track KPIs, monitor performance, identify trends, and provide insights to senior leadership.\n\nOther duties as assigned.\n Competencies\nSelf-motivated with a positive attitude and outlook.\nDetail-oriented, well-organized, and able to manage multiple priorities under time pressure.\nExcellent communication skills; interpersonal, verbal, and written skills.\nAbility to interact positively with all levels of employees as well as customers and vendors.\nEducation/Experience\nMinimum of 7 years of experience in trade compliance, with a strong focus on import logistics and compliance operations.\nIn-depth understanding of U.S. import customs regulations, HTS classification, customs valuation, PGA requirements, free trade programs with a strong emphasis on USMCA.\nProven expertise in HTS classification and the ability to accurately classify a wide range of products.\nExpertise in various programs including but not limited to Foreign Trade Zones (FTZ), Duty Drawback programs.\nDemonstrated ability to meticulously review and analyze import documents to ensure compliance\nExperience of driving Continuous Process Improvements to deliver business change\nExperience in the automotive, chore products or base metal products with a deep understanding of logistics network optimization and third-party performance management\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex information.\nExceptional ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.\nA current and valid U.S. Customs Broker License is preferred.\nAbility to travel both domestically and internationally (10% travel, higher during first 6 months to meet the local teams)\nThe posted salary range for this position is $100,000 to $120,000 annually.
