This role acts as a strategic advisor to the Plant Manager, guiding improvement initiatives from concept through implementation. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with production and maintenance teams, providing hands-on support to resolve day-to-day operational challenges. Key responsibilities include developing detailed manufacturing process documentation and product flow diagrams, conducting root cause analysis to ensure sustainable problem resolution, and evaluating current practices to implement enhancements that uphold quality and maximize efficiency.\nPrinciple Responsibilities\nConceive, design, develop, and test innovative solutions for manufacturing processes based on analysis and organizational objectives\nIdentify design improvements based on activity levels; assess footprint capacity within facilities and identify/develop plans to better utilize the space\nIdentify equipment improvements based on activity levels; assess throughput capacity and identify/develop plans remove bottlenecks and breakdowns\nCreate and maintain required documentation for manufacturing processes, including flow charts, capacity and utilization studies, time and motion studies, standard work, cycle time analysis, and line balancing\nEmpower employees and optimize existing activities based on standards and best practices from Six Sigma, LEAN, etc.\nStudy and analyze current processes, determine their effectiveness, and recommend strategies for improvement and timelines for implementation\nConduct time study analysis to establish production standards for departments\nAdvocate for continuous improvement by promoting a strong teamwork atmosphere and a community of process improvement practice\nResearch and introduce equipment/other technologies\nAdditional responsibilities assigned as necessary \n Competencies \nHighly hands-on with a strong mechanical aptitude is a must.\nProblem solving and analyses, careful and systematic evaluation of information, possible alternatives, and consequences.\nMechanical skills required to perform equipment maintenance and fabrication in collaboration with other team members to develop practical solutions\nAbility to understand production processes\nAbility to understand and lead the implementation of low-level automation/robotics options\nAbility to follow all the quality standards and guidelines strictly\nMulti-tasking skills are required to manage multiple projects and various project activities.\nAbility to identify cost reductions and provide ROI justifications for change/acquisition of equipment\nKnowledge of/experience with value stream mapping and application of such.\nThinks conceptually and intuitively, linking problems and symptoms to identify underlying issues and root causes.\nPresentation skills are the ability to communicate to an audience formally.\nMakes sound decisions in a timely and confident manner.\nA demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment, take initiative, work independently of day-to-day supervision, and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.\nEducation/Experience: \nBachelor’s Degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.\nMinimum 5 years related experience.\nExperience in a manufacturing environment, leading continuous improvement efforts and lean methods and tools\nMaintenance/Mechanical experience -
