GRIE holds a significant market share of the aftermarket braking segment. Offering a complete line of brake rotors, drums, and friction components, GRIE has created a reputation for supplying high-quality finished components to the off-road and heavy-duty vehicle market. This position is responsible for training the automotive brake pad customers. We are currently looking for a high-energy, dynamic individual. You will be responsible for the Gulf Coast Territory. States include AL, MS, LA, AR, and TN.\nPrinciple Responsibilities\nConduct technical training sessions at customer regional and national sales meetings and at trade-shows. \nAttend ride-a-longs with customer commercial sales managers to promote and educate their customers on brake pads.\nPresent technical information on brake pads to a wide audience (both technical and non-technical). Audience size can vary from 20 - 100 people. The intent of the presentations is to educate the participants by providing technical information and fielding any questions related but not limited to, brake friction material, customer brake pad line differentiation, manufacturing, quality, and testing. \nResponsible for problem-solving any customer issues relating to brake pad fit and/or function during customer visits. \nBecome familiar with the customer's commercial sales programs and promotions.\nResponsible for ongoing relationship building with customers.\nExtensive travel (up to 75%) to various locations across the US.\nPlanned and coordinated all training sessions/schedules with the customer training manager.\nAttend yearly internal company training with corporate, R&D, and the company factories.\nIssue weekly reports on customer visits on a timely basis, as well as participate in weekly team conference calls.\n Competencies \nExcellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present data in an organized manner\nStrong written and presentation skills with the ability to communicate to and engage an audience in all settings, ensuring participants become more knowledgeable on our products and product linesKnowledge of OE or aftermarket brake systems and components\nFamiliar with vehicle maintenance and diagnosis\n\nExcellent communication and conflict resolution skills both on an individual basis and group level\nDelivers on commitments, has strong follow-up skills, and shows consistency between words and actions\nProven ability to negotiate, making sound decisions in a timely and confident manner\nAbility to influence and shape the decisions of others and to work through issues or conflicts to create\nHighly organized, results-driven and an ability to work in a fast-paced environmentMust be able to interface with clients and maintain a professional image.\nStrong commitment to customer satisfaction and quality\nInstructional Training Experience - Classroom or on-the-job preferred\n\nEducation/Experience:\nBachelor’s degree in Business, Science, or equivalent experience.\nMinimum of 5 years on-the-job experience (i.e. service departments, dealerships, vehicle maintenance, etc.) or equivalent combination of education and experience.\nAutomotive Technical experience in Brake Systems / Repair - State or ASE/Master Certifications a plus.\nStrong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint\nBi-lingual in Spanish is a plus.\nThe posted salary range for this position is $90,000 to $110,000.
