We're ultra-hardworking people committed to solving tough problems that save precious time and energy.\nAbout the role\nBackend Software Engineer\nWe're looking for a meticulous Backend Software Engineer to join us, with runway for huge and immediate impact. You would be working on internal tools with the rest of software, mechanical and electrical engineers.\nWhat you'll do\nBuild and scale internal tools that support and streamline our production facilities\n\nDevelop robust systems in Rust to improve manufacturing efficiency and reliability\n\nCollaborate closely with Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Production teams to bring tooling needs to life\n\nRecognize opportunities to create tools and improve infrastructure for better cross-team efficiency\n\nBe an integral member of our small software team\n\nWhat we look for\n2-5 years' experience in backend software development\n\nProficiency in Rust, or strong systems programming background with eagerness to work primarily in Rust\n\nExperience building internal tooling or production support systems\n\nAbility to work cross-functionally with hardware engineers and production teams\n\nComfort with a fast-paced, startup atmosphere - you don't shy away from the hard work\n\nHigh level of maturity, ownership, and pride in your work\n\nWe'd love to hear from you if...\nYou are genuinely motivated to help those around you\n\nYou are passionate about learning outside of your normal comfort zones\n\nYou love diagnosing complex technical issues\n\nYou are excited about taking ownership on a wide range of systems and driving projects from concept through shipping\n\nCompensation\nBase $120,000 - $200,000\nActual Compensation will depend on skills, experience and qualifications.
