We're ultra-hardworking people committed to solving tough problems that save precious time and energy.\nAbout the role\nAs a Senior Manufacturing Design Engineer (MDE), you will work at the intersection of R&D and production, translating product designs into robust, scalable manufacturing solutions. You will use CAD tools to design fixtures, tooling, and equipment, develop assembly processes, and optimize workflows for high-volume production.\nIf you’re passionate about great design, strong problem-solving, and getting the details right, we’d love to talk about how you can help us pioneer innovation in the home robotics space.\nWhat You'll Do\nTooling & Equipment Design: Design and develop production fixtures, QC equipment, and specialized tooling to support assembly and testing on the manufacturing line.\n\nCross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product design, quality, and manufacturing teams to troubleshoot production issues and support new product launches.\n\nPartner with vendors, suppliers, and contract manufacturers in a fast-moving startup environment.\n\nFMEA & Root Cause Analysis: Monitor production issues, analyze yield data, perform root cause analysis, and drive corrective actions to quickly recover the production line.\n\nPrototype, fabricate, and iterate rapidly to mature concepts into robust, self-sustaining manufacturing solutions.\n\nPerform component-level testing for performance, durability, reliability, and variability.\n\nTechnical Documentation: Create and maintain CAD models, engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing documentation.\n\nDesign for Manufacturability (DFM): Collaborate with design teams to refine products for efficient, cost-effective, and scalable manufacturing.\n\nWhat We Look For\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.\n\n10+ years of professional experience in mechanical design, tooling, or equipment development for high-volume manufacturing.\n\nProven ability to execute complex mechanical designs and bring them from concept to production.\n\nExperience working on products that have shipped to customers.\n\nManufacturing Expertise: Strong understanding of CNC machining, injection molding, casting, welding, and mechanical assembly processes.\n\nAnalytical Skills: Experience with tolerance analysis, root cause analysis, and process optimization.\n\nProficiency in SolidWorks.\n\nFamiliarity with PDM/PLM systems, engineering change management, and quality management processes.\n\nExperience with sensors, motors, or fluid systems is a plus.\n\nComfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment and willing to take ownership of ambiguous problems.\n\nHigh level of maturity, accountability, and pride in delivering high-quality work.\n\nWe'd love to hear from you if...\nYou’re genuinely motivated to help teammates succeed.\n\nYou enjoy learning beyond your immediate area of expertise.\n\nYou love diagnosing and solving complex technical problems.\n\nYou’re excited to do meaningful, high-impact work.\n\nCompensation:\nBase: $120,000 - $200,000 per annum.\nActual Compensation will depend on skills, experience and qualifications.
