We're ultra-hardworking people committed to solving tough problems that save precious time and energy.\nAbout the role\nWe’re looking for a UX Engineer / Design Engineer to help build and refine Matic’s mobile app experience.\nThis role sits at the intersection of design and engineering. You’ll work closely with product designers and engineers to turn thoughtful interaction concepts into polished, production-ready UI.\nThe Matic app is where users interact with real-time autonomy - from maps and cleaning controls to robot status and feature configuration. Your work will help make complex robotic intelligence feel intuitive, trustworthy, and beautifully executed.\nThis is an entry-to-mid-level role with strong growth potential for someone who cares about craft, interaction quality, and building products that live beyond the screen.\nWhat You'll Do\nBuild and ship high-quality UI in Matic’s mobile app\n\nTranslate Figma designs and prototypes into production-ready components\n\nImplement smooth animations and thoughtful micro-interactions\n\nHelp visualize complex robot behaviors (mapping, obstacle detection, cleaning states)\n\nCollaborate closely with product design to refine interaction details\n\nPartner with design, software, algorithms, and hardware teams to ensure accurate real-time feedback\n\nContribute to and help evolve a scalable design system in code\n\nParticipate in feature planning and iteration discussions\n\nWhat You Bring\n1-4+ years of experience in front-end or mobile development\n\nExperience building product-facing UI (mobile preferred)\n\nFamiliarity with Rust and/or Python, iOS and/or Android is required.\n\nStrong attention to detail in spacing, hierarchy, motion, and interaction\n\nComfort working in a fast-moving, collaborative environment\n\nCuriosity about connected devices and how software interfaces with hardware\n\nClear communication skills and a willingness to give and receive feedback\n\nPortfolio (Required)\nPlease include a portfolio showcasing relevant design work. Base Salary is one part of the total compensation package.
