Experience with AML case management platforms such as Actimize, Oracle, SAS, or Verafin is highly preferred.\nWe are particularly interested in candidates who can discuss their AML QC review experience, challenges encountered, and specific use cases or examples demonstrating their ability to identify issues and improve investigative quality.\nKey Qualifications\n\nAML Expertise: Strong understanding of AML regulations, financial crime typologies, red flags, and associated risks.\n\nAML QC Experience: Hands-on experience performing quality control reviews of AML investigations, including identifying gaps, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement.\n\nCase Management Platforms: Proficiency with at least one AML case management or transaction monitoring platform, such as Actimize, Oracle, SAS, Verafin, or similar tools.\n\nRegulatory Knowledge: Strong knowledge of AML compliance frameworks, regulatory requirements, and investigative standards.\n\nSAR Experience: Demonstrated experience drafting, reviewing, and/or submitting Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs).\n\nInvestigative & Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex transactional and behavioral data, identify suspicious patterns, and determine appropriate investigative actions.\n\nRisk Assessment: Strong understanding of customer and account risk factors, including sanctions, fraud, terrorist financing, bribery and corruption, and insider threats.\n\nCommunication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly document investigative findings and communicate recommendations.\n\nAttention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, consistency, and regulatory compliance.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nConduct and/or perform QC reviews of end-to-end AML investigations across cases of varying complexity.\n\nReview investigations involving potential money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, sanctions violations, and other financial crime risks.\n\nAssess whether investigative conclusions are supported by appropriate evidence and whether cases meet established regulatory and internal standards.\n\nEvaluate whether investigators have applied reasonable grounds to suspect (RGS) appropriately when determining whether suspicious activity should be escalated or reported.\n\nPerform holistic reviews of customer relationships, considering relevant risk factors such as:\n\nAML risk\n\nSanctions exposure\n\nFraud\n\nBribery and corruption\n\nTerrorist financing\n\nInsider threats\n\nCustomer and transactional risk\n\nReview investigative narratives, supporting documentation, disposition decisions, and SAR recommendations for completeness, accuracy, and consistency.\n\nIdentify investigative gaps, process deficiencies, recurring errors, and quality trends, and provide actionable feedback.\n\nUtilize AML case management and transaction monitoring platforms to document, manage, review, and resolve cases.\n\nDraft and/or review SARs in accordance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.\n\nAnalyze transactional, customer, and behavioral data to identify suspicious activity and emerging financial crime patterns.\n\nPartner with investigators, compliance teams, and other stakeholders to improve investigative quality and consistency.\n\nSupport enhancements to AML investigative procedures, quality standards, and controls.\n\nEnsure all investigations and QC reviews remain aligned with AML policies, procedures, regulatory expectations, and industry best practices.\n\nQC Experience – What We Would Like to Hear About\nDuring the interview, candidates should be prepared to discuss:\n\nTheir experience performing AML QC reviews.\n\nThe types and complexity of cases they have reviewed.\n\nCommon investigative or documentation issues they have identified.\n\nA challenging QC finding or use case and how they addressed it.\n\nExamples of recurring quality issues and how they helped improve the process.\n\nExperience providing feedback to investigators or business stakeholders.\n\nHow they determine whether an investigation and its final disposition are adequately supported.\n\nExperience reviewing or challenging SAR decisions and narratives.\n\nHow they balance regulatory requirements, internal policies, and practical investigative judgment\n\nWHY JOIN USMatrix is a global, dynamic, and fast‑growing technology services and consulting company with over 17,000 employees worldwide.
