This individual will serve as a technical authority across the organization while remaining actively involved in solution design, development, architecture reviews, and engineering best practices.\nKey Responsibilities\nArchitecture & Technical Leadership\nDefine and drive the architecture for enterprise-scale applications, data platforms, and distributed systems.\nDesign scalable, secure, resilient, and high-performance solutions aligned with business and technology objectives.\nEstablish architectural standards, engineering best practices, and technology roadmaps.\nLead technical decision-making and provide architectural guidance across multiple engineering teams.\nConduct architecture reviews and ensure adherence to security, scalability, and operational excellence standards.\nSoftware Engineering & Platform Development\nDesign and develop enterprise applications and microservices using Java and Scala.\nArchitect and implement scalable RESTful APIs and service-oriented solutions.\nDrive the development of cloud-native solutions leveraging Azure services and modern engineering frameworks.\nParticipate in hands-on development of critical components and complex technical initiatives.\nData & Event-Driven Architecture\nDesign and implement large-scale data solutions utilizing Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS) and Databricks.\nArchitect event-driven systems and real-time data processing solutions using Apache Kafka and MQ technologies.\nEnsure data platforms are optimized for scalability, performance, reliability, and maintainability.\nSupport integration of applications, data pipelines, and distributed services across the enterprise.\nEngineering Excellence\nProvide technical mentorship and guidance to engineers and development teams.\nDrive adoption of modern software development practices, design patterns, CI/CD, and DevOps principles.\nIdentify and resolve complex technical challenges across application, data, integration, and infrastructure layers.\nEvaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions that enhance platform capabilities and engineering productivity.\nCollaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Data, Infrastructure, and DevOps teams to deliver business-critical solutions.\nRequired Qualifications\nArchitecture & Technical Leadership\nProven experience serving as a Principal Engineer, Lead Architect, Solution Architect, or similar senior technical leadership role.\nDemonstrated ability to design and deliver enterprise-scale distributed systems and cloud-native architectures.\nStrong understanding of software architecture patterns, microservices, event-driven architectures, and integration frameworks.\nJava & Scala Development\nExtensive hands-on experience developing enterprise-grade applications using Java and/or Scala.\nStrong knowledge of object-oriented design principles, design patterns, and modern application development frameworks.\nProven experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and distributed services.\nCloud Data Platforms\nDeep experience designing and implementing data solutions leveraging Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS).\nStrong hands-on experience with Databricks for large-scale data engineering, analytics, and processing workloads.\nExperience working with cloud-native architectures and Azure-based platforms.\nMessaging & Distributed Systems\nExtensive experience with Apache Kafka, MQ, or similar messaging and streaming technologies.\nStrong understanding of event-driven architectures, messaging patterns, and distributed system design.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience developing APIs, services, or automation solutions using Python.\nStrong Python scripting expertise for data processing, automation, and operational workflows.\nExperience leading and mentoring engineering teams in enterprise environments.\nKnowledge of Azure cloud services and modern DevOps practices.\nExperience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, Kubernetes, and infrastructure automation.\nExperience working within Agile development methodologies.\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration abilities.\nTechnical Environment\nJava\nScala\nPython\nREST APIs\nMicrosoft Azure\nAzure Data Lake Storage (ADLS)\nAzure Databricks\nApache Kafka\nMQ Messaging Platforms\nMicroservices Architecture\nDistributed Systems\nCI/CD Pipelines\nKubernetes\nAgile / DevOps\nIdeal Candidate\nThe ideal candidate is a hands-on technical leader who is equally comfortable defining architecture, writing production code, solving complex engineering challenges, and influencing technical strategy.
