This internship will provide hands-on experience working alongside engineering and product development teams throughout the product lifecycle, including concept development, prototyping, testing, validation, documentation, and product improvement initiatives. The intern will gain practical exposure to engineering processes, technical problem-solving, and product commercialization while contributing to real-world projects that enhance safety, efficiency, and performance in mining operations. This is a paid position that works in a team environment at our home office in Newburgh, IN. This is not a remote position.\nThis position reports to the Product Manager - Mining.\nDuties and Responsibilities\nAssist with the development, testing, and evaluation of new products and technologies.\nSupport prototype assembly, setup, and troubleshooting activities.\nCollect, organize, and analyze product test data to support engineering decisions.\nMaintain accurate technical documentation, test records, and project files.\nAssist with product validation and verification efforts to ensure performance and quality requirements are met.\nPrepare technical reports, presentations, and summaries of test results.\nCollaborate with engineering, product management, and other cross-functional teams on development projects.\nParticipate in product improvement and continuous improvement initiatives.\nSupport research activities related to emerging technologies, industry trends, and customer needs.\nPerform other duties and special projects as assigned.\nQualifications & Competencies\nEmployment Eligibility & Verification\nAll applicants must be able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States. Please note that we do not offer sponsorship for work authorization (e.g., H-1B, TN, or other visas) at this time.\nCurrently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Electrical Technology, or a related technical field.\nStrong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to organize technical information and maintain detailed documentation.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.\nEffective written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.\nWorking Conditions\nCombination of office, laboratory, and manufacturing environments.\nMay require standing, walking, and handling product components or testing equipment.\nOccasional lifting of materials or equipment up to 25 pounds.\nMust comply with all company safety policies and procedures.\nPhysical Requirements\nThe employee is occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, or crouch.
