This is not a remote position.\nThis position reports to the Manger of Software Systems.\nDuties and Responsibilities\nDesign, develop, and maintain software applications using Python, C#, C++, and Linux.\nCollaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define project requirements and deliver innovative solutions.\nOptimize code for performance, scalability, and maintainability.\nConduct code reviews and provide mentorship to junior engineers.\nStay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our solutions remain at the forefront of innovation.\nTroubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.\nContribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and practices.\nQualifications & Competencies\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.\n7+ years of professional experience in software development with a strong focus on Python, C#, C++, and Linux.\nProficiency in Python, C#, and C++.\nExperience with Linux operating systems and development environments.\nStrong understanding of software design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.\nExperience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.\nExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.\nStrong communication and collaboration skills.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with other programming languages such as Java or Rust.\nKnowledge of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).\nFamiliarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).\nExperience with performance profiling and optimization tools.\nWorking Conditions\nDaily Job duties will consist of office, lab, and desk work with occasional field testing required.Candidate may be required to work underground, but on an infrequent basis\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near large moving machinery\nCustomer operations may contain airborne particles and allergens\nMatrix employees are furnished and required to wear safety gear such as hard hats, steel toe shoes, reflective clothing, earplugs, and safety glasses\n\nOccasional travel and ability to work various shifts as required by customer \nPhysical Requirements\nThe employee is occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, or crouch.
