This role is for a digitally focused designer who combines strong visual craft with an understanding of how brands come to life across websites, digital campaigns, social platforms, content, and interactive experiences.\nThe Digital Designer will collaborate with creative directors, designers, strategists, producers, and developers across MATTE’s Mexico City and New York teams. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in Figma, comfortable building scalable digital design systems, and able to carry work from early concepting through production-ready execution.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign digital experiences across websites, landing pages, campaigns, social platforms, presentations, and other interactive touchpoints.\nTranslate brand identities and creative concepts into thoughtful, engaging digital experiences.\nDevelop scalable design systems, component libraries, templates, and guidelines that maintain consistency across platforms.\nCreate user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs in Figma.\nPartner with developers to ensure designs are technically feasible and accurately implemented.\nPrepare organized, production-ready design files and specifications for development handoff.\nSupport the ongoing design, maintenance, and evolution of MATTE’s website and other owned digital platforms.\nCollaborate with brand, experiential, content, and strategy teams to extend creative ideas across digital channels.\nContribute to concept development and present design thinking clearly to internal teams and clients.\nIncorporate motion, interaction, and emerging technology into digital work where appropriate.\nManage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining a high level of creative craft and attention to detail.\nStay current on digital design trends, emerging platforms, AI tools, and evolving web technologies.\nQualifications\nApproximately 3-5 years of experience in digital, web, brand, or product design.\nA strong portfolio demonstrating digital design, visual systems, responsive web experiences, and campaign work.\nAdvanced proficiency in Figma, including components, variants, auto layout, prototyping, and shared libraries.\nStrong command of typography, composition, color, hierarchy, and visual storytelling.\nExperience designing responsive websites and collaborating with developers.\nWorking knowledge of UX principles, accessibility, and digital design best practices.\nProficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.\nExperience with motion design, After Effects, 3D, generative AI, or creative coding is a plus.\nExperience with Webflow, Framer, or similar website-building platforms is strongly preferred.\nStrong organizational and communication skills, particularly within remote and cross-functional teams.\nProfessional fluency in English and Spanish is strongly preferred.\nExperience working with international teams or global brands is a plus.\nContract Structure\nThis is a remote, full-time contract position for an individual based in Mexico. The contractor is expected to maintain full-time availability and work as an embedded member of MATTE’s creative team.
