The team is responsible for quality inspections, audits, product investigations, inventory quality controls, and corrective action management to ensure only compliant, customer-ready products enter or return to inventory. Through strong partnerships with operations, logistics, and customer teams, we help maintain Mattel’s commitment to delivering safe, trusted, and high-quality products to consumers around the world.\n The Quality Assurance Supervisor, reporting to the Quality Manager, Distribution & Logistics, will lead day-to-day quality operations within Mattel’s distribution center network. This role is responsible for supervising quality personnel, driving compliance with Mattel quality standards, overseeing product inspections and rework activities, and ensuring customer-specific quality requirements are consistently met. The ideal candidate will combine strong operational leadership with analytical problem-solving skills to drive continuous improvement, enhance product quality, and support a best-in-class customer experience.\nWhat Your Impact Will Be:\nLead, coach, and develop a team of quality associates, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, inclusion, and continuous improvement.\nManage all supervisory responsibilities including hiring, training, performance management, employee development, and workforce planning.\nEnsure compliance with Mattel quality standards, policies, procedures, and safety requirements across distribution center operations.\nOversee quality inspection programs including inbound, outbound, DTC, B2B, quarterly audits, spot checks, and customer-specific quality requirements.\nManage quarantine, rework, disposition, and containment activities for nonconforming products.\nDevelop and maintain quality metrics, KPI reporting, dashboards, and performance monitoring processes.\nConduct root cause investigations using structured problem-solving methodologies and drive corrective and preventive actions.\nSupport consumer complaint investigations, field quality issues, and product defect analysis to identify trends and improve product performance.\nPartner with operations, inventory, logistics, customer service, and vendor partners to resolve quality concerns and improve processes.\nSupport supplier and value-added services (VAS) quality activities, including material evaluations, audits, and supplier feedback.\nCreate, implement, and maintain training programs, standard work instructions, and quality documentation.\nMonitor inventory quality controls, cycle counts, transfers, adjustments, and audit activities to ensure inventory accuracy and compliance.\nLead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, scalability, and customer satisfaction.\nServe as the primary site contact for quality-related inquiries from internal stakeholders, customers, and external partners.\nPerform additional duties and special projects as assigned.\n Required Qualifications\n3+ years of experience in quality, manufacturing, logistics, warehouse, or operational leadership role.\nExperience leading teams and managing employee performance in a fast-paced operational environment.\nExperience with quality systems, inspections, audits, corrective actions, and quality documentation.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate issues and make data-driven decisions.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively across multiple functions and locations.\nAbility to read, interpret, and apply procedures, reports, safety requirements, and operational documentation.\nAbility to lift up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.\nAbility to stand and walk for extended periods in a warehouse environment.\nPreferred Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or a related field.\nExperience in warehouse, distribution, logistics, or consumer products environments.\nExperience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).\nKnowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS)\nFamiliarity with consumer product safety, regulatory compliance, and quality standards.\nExperience conducting root cause analysis using methodologies such as 5 Whys, Fishbone, or similar tools.\nBilingual in English and Spanish.\nKey Competencies\nStrong attention to detail.\nEffective leadership and coaching skills.\nExcellent organizational and prioritization abilities.\nCustomer-focused mindset.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.\nStrong collaboration and relationship-building skills.\nProactive approach to identifying risks and driving solutions.\n Don’t meet every single requirement?
