You’ll help tackle the world’s biggest challenges - cutting emissions, powering modern society and enhancing lives - as we continue to apply, refine and recycle metals that matter, for a healthier and more resilient future.\nThe role:\nAs a Competency Coordinator, you will help drive our goals by:\nDeveloping and planning a robust and structured shop floor-based training program for induction and production processes. Training to be carried out by the relevant department personnel. Ensuring technical training is delivered by personnel who have completed the JM Trainer course.\nCoordinating and conducting scheduled assurance assessments of the program in collaboration with competent assessors.\nCoordinate the employee engagement survey process, including survey administration, data collection, and score analysis.\nAnalyze employee engagement results to identify key areas of improvement and engagement drivers.\nDevelop and coordinate action plans in collaboration with relevant stakeholders to address engagement gaps and improve overall employee engagement scores.\nTrack and report progress on engagement initiatives and measure the effectiveness of action plans.\nSupporting the writing and maintenance/updates of standard operating procedures and training documentation to constantly meet the needs of the business, ensuring that high-risk documents are prioritized.\nAdhering to Life Saving Policies, following Site Safety Rules and working safely to EHS best practices as a mandatory condition of employment.\nBuilding and maintaining the competency management system (Kahuna/Power Apps), including Initial Training and Assurance in collaboration with Technical L&D team.\nCompleting regular auditing of training and assessments to provide internal verification. Conduct weekly shop floor walkthroughs and perform spot checks to ensure progress and compliance with quality standards and operational procedures; Identify and report any deviations from quality standards, recommending corrective actions where necessary.\nMeasuring adherence to training plan and regularly reporting competency management KPI’s to the local Production Manager via tiered meetings.\nManaging the process for re-training following non-assurance.\nWorking collaboratively with Managers and Front-Line Leaders to ensure all training delivered is in line with the on-going operational plan and all training needs are fulfilled through the support and coordination of cross-training programs or the development of new training programs.\nSupporting continuous improvement and transformational efforts on site as part of the team. These include, but are not limited to, implementation and sustainability of improvements; adoption and adherence to JMPS tools and methodologies; and adoption and adherence to new software implementation / updates or applications aligned with production roles (i.e. Orchestrate, caq, Daily Management App, Tier dashboards) to meet the strategic needs of the business.\nMaintaining own expertise by keeping up to date with new processes, updates, and changes.\nSupporting the maintenance of training matrices for production personnel.\nCompleting all other tasks as assigned by manager.\nKey skills that will help you succeed in this role:\nA good understanding of a manufacturing environment\nIT literacy and ability to learn new software systems.\nProficient in Microsoft Office packages, including Power BI. \nGood level of both written and verbal English would be required to ensure a high quality of recording and following of procedures can be followed.\nTime management and organizational skills\nExperience of coaching/mentoring colleagues\nExcellent working knowledge of EHS policies and procedures.\nQualification and Experience Required:\nMasters/Bachelors / Diploma in Training & Development.\n6-8 years of relevant experience in Manufacturing / speciality chemicals.\nEven if you only match some of the skills, we’d love to hear from you to discuss further!\nWhat we offer:\nWe make sure salaries are fair, competitive and aligned to individual roles, experience and responsibilities.
