You’ll help tackle the world’s biggest challenges - cutting emissions, powering modern society and enhancing lives - as we continue to apply, refine and recycle metals that matter, for a healthier and more resilient future.\nThe role:\nAs a Operator I: Entry Level Operator you will help drive our goals by:\nTake responsibility for personal safety by following JM’s safe working practices, PPE guidelines, and contributing to a safe, healthy work environment, including reporting incidents and unsafe conditions.\nFollow all relevant process documentation (e.g., risk analyses, process instructions, standard work) and complete batch sheets and handovers to ensure smooth, continuous production.\nSupport operations by performing skilled operator tasks, adhering to production schedules, conducting basic preventative maintenance, and carrying out duties as directed by the Production Lead.\nDrive continuous improvement by upholding 5S standards, collaborating with team members, suggesting process improvements, participating in failure investigations, and identifying plant reliability issues.\nKey skills that will help you succeed in this role:\nMust be at least 18 years old with a minimum of 4 GCSEs (A*-C) including English, Maths, and Science\n2 A-Levels (or equivalent) in engineering or science and experience in chemical, engineering, or manufacturing fields are beneficial but not required\nShould understand large-scale manufacturing facilities and the importance of EHS\nMust demonstrate strong safety focus, teamwork, positive attitude, motivation, attention to detail, and commitment to learning\nRequires strong communication skills, flexibility, integrity, and the ability to work accurately, efficiently, and meet deadlines\nDue to the nature of this role applicants must be non-smokers and have been free from nicotine products for at least 3 months\nEven if you only match some of the skills, we’d love to hear from you to discuss further!\nWhat we offer:\nWe make sure salaries are fair, competitive and aligned to individual roles, experience and responsibilities.
